Cleaned the room a dozen times and only got him to spawn once, he seems pretty rare. In comparison I got 5 frenzied pox scarabs, 6 ostiary, 2 broggs, 4 picklers and 2 commanders in the same period.
Did this with an 65 necro and me(60 chanter) today. Room itself is pretty easy hardest nuke i took was 537 after completely dispelled. Made 5 rounds of this(each round consisting of disco the hidden wall after library and the room behind disco) did first round with only necro lvl 61 pet me slowing and pac. picked up a seb golem as dc pet(which was never dispelled) after first run. If you decide to try this solo snare is a must I would be hard pressed to solo this and the 65 nec could not. Did this with decent gear self buffs only and 31 aa, necro had 60+aa.
Killed him last night, dropped warhammer, had a 56 monk pullin, pulled to top of ramp till there was room to get in and bum rushed it, had a great chanter and shaman, everything slowed and messed =np. Held room with 2 melee's (56 war and 56 monk) for about 4 hours, no deaths. Nice room though, keeps ya on yer toes :), nice loot!
From what i understand, the room he is in is hard to break, but himself, could a 52 nec solo, and does he resist a lot ? If i couldnt solo, what type of group would i need? Is it like a raid type thing? Thanks for the help

You could solo around zone in perhaps, but this guy is in Disco...waaaay too deep in to get to. Plus he will eat your pet fast. He hits hard and nukes.
I think with good gear a 65 necro could easily solo disco, im a druid and I did just for a challenge one day when i was board, only hard part is if you get 2 mobs that summon be fast to click off any damage sheild so you dont damage both and have them both summoning you, root one stick yourself in a corner and corner tank the other. You know, hitting for 180's just isnt that strong anymore compared to the ideal groups of today. Yeah I dont know why its called the Disco either. Gruplinort is a rare spawn, PH tends to be a Krup Knight. Maybe Im only grouped with the best, but getting into and out of Disco really isnt hard with a good tank, healer, and enc.
Its called disco because he spawns on this platform with a big flashing red light at the top.....doesnt remotely remind me of a disco but hey, whatever. Does this guy even have a rare? not that I'm complaining, cuz the BC is pretty sweet.
just curious, why is it called disco? Does Gruplinort hold large parties inside his room with ****** 70's music? or maybe some other reason that escapes me perhaps
Which crack pipe you smokin'? <jk> Quads for 180 each, Gates at 20 health, then summons ppl one at a time and kills them... Not tough? OUCH! Oh and when he summons... he seems to summon the evacers first btw. The room is easy to break. Just have a good monk to pull. Holding it is the hard part. Last time I was there totals 12 hours, 3 bone casters, 4 cleric armor pieces, 3 clerics spells, 1 cobalt drop, elder spiritist bracers, 2 evacs, 2 party wipe outs, and half bubble exp even with two deaths and one no rezz. Ya gotta love the disco.
Room can be held with little difficulty by a good group with low level chanter(Me at 52). Mezz all mobs that group isnt fighting, tash caster mobs that group is fighing at 50% health, chain stun until dead, pick next mob and redo. Did not have one resist from Gruplinort after tash at 52nd level.
I think your chanter (if you had one) needs to stop sleeping at the keyboard! And good chanter will stun as soon as a mob starts to cast and mez if necessary. Every chanter should know that if a mob can be mezzed then that is the ULTIMATE stun. So what if it is broken in one second, the mob didnt gate, CH, nuke or get any other cast off and that is the whole point.
LOL If your chanter knows what he is doing nothing will EVER gate and few will ever cast on you. I got the BC robe on my first trip to Seb. Nice gear for a 51 chanter. We had no wipe outs in the front disco. We did get chased out once when I got bum rushed by 4 knights and couldn't get a spell off. Otherwise pretty safe camp if you've got a good group.
