aacck. Somehow I double-posted here. I sincerely apologize for the inconvience. Perhaps at some future point one of the over-worked, kind-hearted people could delete this message and the double post. Sorry, guys.

The dry bones skeleton is a tough fight, I won't dispute that, but the lower level ones are definately soloable by a level 15 cleric. I've soloed a couple as a level 15 and killed quite a few with a friend, a paladin. I'm level 16 now and can take the red ones with a partner and buffs, and can solo the ones that con yellow, with moderate difficulty. Before this post is responsible for a lot of people losing experience, i'll make a disclaimer; don't try this if you're not a cleric with expulse undead, the lev. 14 undead spell (or are partnered with one). They're mean, but eminently killable for Clerics and great experience, though the loot is nothing to shout about.

A narsty skele... i would recommend steering clear of these until at least lvl 19-20. ive heard many rumours of people saying they've soloed them at lower levels, but in my experience, soloing them at 19 can be rough if you have low fire resistance.. loot is not much to speak of, a few gold.. but the glory of killing my first one solo and avenging my death was a great feeling :)
#Anonymous, Posted: Mar 01 2000 at 11:00 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) some are higher than 9th lvl....when i was lvl 11 some conned white.

By the way, in case you were wondering, the paladin friend I mentioned is a couple levels below me, and they all con red to him, in case you were thinking I was being assisted by a higher-level player.

i soloed a white one at lvl 16, i only had 30-50hp left though, started the fight with 459hp and 2 buffs.

bronze drops...

The loot table on dry bones in different zones is different. The dry bones in lake rathe at night seem higher level, and do drop bronze armor. The same seemed to hold true for unrest. But never seen bronze armor drop in rathe mountains or oasis from these guys.
For Oliias....

Oliias, the "rumors" you heard about people soloing these are true...I am a magician and I could kill these things with my 12th spell ring (pet and nuke) At level 17 now they are just bothersome except for the occasional white con. Nuff said
Gloves???? BS

I've seen some idiots say on some other sites that these suckers drop bronze gloves... I think this is bull crap! I've killed quite a few of these little bastards and not once have I gotten more than some bone chips.

P.S.
I'm Lv16 and I can take these guys with a small group (2-3 people)
Hm...
# Feb 17 2000 at 4:59 PM Rating: Decent
All these guys ever drop are bone chips and cash from what I've seen...some con blue/green to me and I'm an 18 pally. I fight them once in a while to get some bone chips to auction. They cast some unknown fire spell. Tend to kill newbies pretty often since they're tough, and if there's two around, gang-up time...
