Shaman was able to slow after 2 attempts without Malo. 2 adds from the room came during pull. We killed adds first and finish the boss. Fight lasted maybe 5 minutes.
anyone know if the lvl 65 nameds in the .:south:. east~west and north still drop loot other then ring of torden and spec? ben killin them for a few times all i seen drop =/
very fun and challenging solo for a 70 mage. just clearing the area to fight him safely is a testament to your pet pulling ability, ability to control the fight in tight spaces with pet push, and dps to tear down 6 mobs including a krieger before repops. i tried once to solo him traditionally but he proved too resistant to both fire and magic and since he's a healer it wasn't sufficient to chain cast pyrilen skin (450 pt ds.) i returned to clear the area again with the exception of a beautiful young fire elemental that just couldn't resist my charm, and at my command, proceeded to school mr lynhillig in the fine art of getting beat down! i looted (or at least would have if he hadn't dropped the container for the tower key) and promptly gated before she realized that she'd been used with no intention of calling her in the morning!
Took him down today, on Xegony. Took 1 group, with a 63 shaman on slows, a 67 ranger with 10k hp tanking. This mob has a good amount of hp, watch out for pops and his CH.Other than that, hes easy.
Has anyone ever seen him drop an ornate silk pant pattern? I have killed this mob about 8 times now and have got all his loot but the ornate silk pant pattern. I have never seen it drop nor herd of anyone killing him and it dropping.
Could someone please tell me if they have ever killed him and seen it drop?
Yes, I have seen him drop the silk pants. I was in a pickup group that took him down. Won the pants with a lucky 940 out of 1000 roll for my chanter. :o)
Very rare each mini will drop their respective ornate pants. I mean VERY. I am surprised someone hasnt claimed to have ornate arms drop off this one, as the other minis all mistakenly have it on their loot table from people being mixed up.
I've seen him drop the ornate silk pants twice now. Both times I was playing my mage, but as luck would have it, in a pick up group, the druid won both times.
My group killed him yesturday, was very easy ... had a sk for tank, enc, ranger, rog, bard, and me druid main healer, use about 50% of mana, we clear to his room so no gating and agro of mobs, drop the ring (very common seen it drop everything time), SP, and a Tear of Rainmaker ( I won roll) PS anyone know how much the Tear is going for in?

I never dropped below 50% and i was boxing all 3 chars on one computer =/ I got him, Laef, And Oreen all down, Gaukr got me when he was at 9%hp =(
over all easy fight. clear his little room of the other giants then fight him in there. wiped once after he gated back and agro'd 3 giants including the kriger that is the ph for the bee looking named. semi difficult to slow so have a fleshy tank. dropped ring of tordan and glymph rune. cheap skate........
Can be a pretty messy fight if you let him heal himself, he has a TON of mana and a TON of HP. I suggest killing him in his room by his spawn point to limit his gating. Also i suggest killing your way to him and NOT paci pulling so that way if he gates he doesnt come back with all his friends.
He is a cleric as well so he does use cleric nukes and occasionally debuffs himself which can be kind of annoying.
All in all not a over difficult fight.
(BTW group was: 62 Clr, 63 Rog, 65 War, 64 Dru, 65 Shm, and 65 Enc)
Tanked this guy today.....i'm a 62SK so no happy little defensive disciplines to use....the key to putting this guy in the dirt is a spell that the Enchanter cast bulwark of something or other...it absorbs 1500 points of spell damage...as long as the enchanter is on the ball and cast it repeatedly anyone can tank this guy probably..had no deaths and the enchanter was also seiveing mana and once we got him down to 50% he never cast another spell..no CH for JOO ..drop Spectral parchment, earring of thunder, and ring which rotted,no rune :( sorry for double post but my name was missing a letter :)

I'm only a lvl62 druid on the Druzzil Ro server and I was main healer. I casted heal after heal for 3k hp each. I only used 2 bubs of mana and Hreider CHed 2 or 3 times to. He is a big Wimp. He dropped a Ring of Torden, Spec Parchment, and the Hammer of the Wind. Some of his ok drops for such an easy fight.
for warriors out there who are gonna tank this dude, use evasive. i took him down earlier (im a ranger) and the first time the warrior got owned around half HP from procs. evasive makes him less likely to hit so less likely to get proc'd on. cleric mob, likes to nuke at the beginning and heal when low, we fought in his room and he didnt gate, did not enrage or anything, dropped a spec and a ring. fear me losing a scepter of lightning, ornate chain glove pattern, and 3 specs all within a couple hours ~
also, for the wing hes in.. west seems to be the easiest, good group can clear the wing in just under the repop rate so you're second time through might have a little down time for repops, that is assuming this guy isnt up.. if this guy is up, well.. you'll have either a couple repops on your way back or youll have to leave a couple when repops start. good XP, 1 clearing of 20-25 min (whatever the spawn time is) got me 44% AA at 62, good loot as well. hope this helps~
Use of evasive disc. would not help in avoiding his proc attacks, as procs get their own check each combat round, separate from melee attacks. I'm sure you yourself have noticed weapons proccing even when you don't hit the mob; I sure have. As well, consider HoT... all those AE's are procs, so the mob definitely doesn't have to be hitting you or anyone to fire them off.
Bravo! clearing up the mess from muddled views is what these forums're all about, well, to me anyway :) (want my warriors *and me* to know all we can) ~thanks! Tweedlecure 63 High Priest of Stromm
Hreidar Lynhillig spawns in the Western side, north of the entrance in the far back room on the lower level. This will be to your right and straight back upon reaching the top of the first set of steps into the west side.
This guy, like 3/4 of the lvl 65 nameds, CAN be slowed, though it is very MR and difficult to stick.
Took him out last night with one group. We had cleric, paladin, necro, bard, warrior and mage. Paly ended up going down near end of fight but warrior finished him off. Cleric used last cheal when mob was at 2% then was OOM, whew. Dropped earring and ring.
With a fairly squishy tank he is doable but you might need 2ndary heals, typically pacify empty his room, med up. On engage dispel magic then apply tash/malo/occlusion diesase slow, and from there try regular slow, its partially resisted anywho so im not sure if its that worthwhile except for the longer duration. Cleric type mob, hits fairly hard, (generally have cleric divine/com heal with druid/shammy on spot for those great procs, he gates, enrages sometimes, at around 40% health he starts to chain heal himself at which point he is a joke so long as your dps >> regen/heal rate. He doesnt gate so long as you keep him relatively close to his room. Gluck on runes i still cant win one to save my life
