Just in case any else is like me and is farming old world mobs for the fun clicky things, this thing does still drop...just mentioning it b/c of some posts below. I just got one today (1-21-08).
Also, as shared under the mob itself, this guy is a joke...lots of hp's but doesn't hit hard or fast...I think in the range of 100-400 per hit.

He still drops it... though I have yet to win one after over a dozen kills... oh well, he's gonna keep dying till I do :) He's so easy to get to and kill, he's one of the best farm mobs around.
This is IMO the best drop off the Evolved Burrower. Good stats, hp/mana AND resists... plus that nifty little 2mana/tick clicky buff that stacks with ALL other mana regen buffs, making it effectively like FT2, except this takes up a buff slot, which usually is not a problem though.
Mithril Heart Brigade on Tribunal Server - Dropped this mob yesterday and finnally after over a year of killing him he spit out this drop.
This is a rare item on the Burrower's loot table and yes it does indeed stack over the FT15 and MC3 mana regen's..... Even better unlike some of the item MANA regen's it doesn't not go POOF when a Shaman hits CANNI 5 button.

Tonight's patch which is undergoing just 25 minutes ago will change this. Lunar Whispers will begin stacking - intentionally - with BAoTR and POTG/C. weeeeeeee~
BAoTR is 6mana per tik yet this item is = to Clarity 2 from what you say. So when I am buffing which do i choose LunarWispers or BAoTR because they do not stack which they should imo =/
I just got this today, drops off a mob called the Restless Burrower in Acryila Caverns Easy to get too, and doable buy 2 groups of well equiped 60's if your good. Should have checked here before looting it as since it doesn't stack with BAoR its effect is kinda useless to a cleric or druid *doesn't stack with PoTG either* but still a very nice neck item

But PotG does not stack with Aego, so if I am raiding/grping and have that this spell would still stack. Also my other forms of regen don't work inside where this would as a druid.
Also if you use the format on EQDruids for rating items this would rate at 336pts or to make it easier, right at the top of what is listed there now. I know I am happy to have one.
This is a VERY nice neck item..nice stats) Who cares if the effect doesn't stack. As a cleric more saves and ac is a must(including wis as well). Shoot i'd trade my lame neck item for ne of these any day.

Lunar Whispers does not stack with Blessed Armor of the Risen. I suspect it does not stack with Protection of the Glades.
I really hope this is a stacking problem, and its fixed in the future. If not, this item will be far more valuable to shaman, who will be the only class that can make use of effect.
PoTG doesnt stack with BAotR so i think that this mana regen spell prolly sould stack with PoTG because most mana regen type spells like PoG dont stack with BAotR anyways

Mobs Name: The Borrower Beast Level: 63 Type: Warrior
He is up usualy every day all day long and no one kills him Becuase they cant. He is not targetable until he grows to Full size ( takes about a Week ) When he reaches full size he Can be targeted and Killed.
The effect on the Item gives you 2 more mana per level. So if you are level 60 you would get a 120 mana Bonus for 270 Ticks about 25 mins. No, it's just an extra 2 points of mana every tick. It most likely stacks with clarity, flowing thought, and all the other mana regen buffs, which is great.
270 ticks / 27 minutes = 10 ticks a minute (the same as Clarity I believe). This is somewhat significant. Flowing Thought II equivalence, just not permanent.
Just wanted to clear something up. A tick is the minimum time span recognized by the game, the length or a "turn" if you will. Each tick your HP and mana rise or fall (depending on what spells are cast on you and if you are or not meditating). By definition a tick is a tenth of a minute, or six seconds. 270 ticks is 27 minutes, and what this spell does is add 2 to the mana you gain or lose every tick during that time interval. This is similar to the enchanter spell breeze, or flowing thought II. Good luck getting it, stats and effect are very nice for anyone who can use
i just wanted to point out that a tick is definitely not the minimum timespan in the game and your hp can rise or fall in a period of much less then 6 seconds if you are being attacked or healed
Getting kinda technical here, but that 6 second time period is really irrelevant, i'll explain why. consider damage/healing over time spells, and imagine the ammount of bandwidth they would occupy if the server and your computer were constantly sending information back and forth about the EXACT amount of health you/the mob have at that moment. Instead, Verant intelligently (dont go in to shock by me saying they did something smart) assigned a 6 second interval, every 6 seconds the server and your computer exchange information about most information, including your location and the health of the mobs and players. Otherwise you would have everyone in the vicintiy going LD every couple of minutes because of the ammount of data from regens and DoTs being transmitted

Yeah, but the six seconds does matter in cases such as medding. If at the beginning of one tick you're sitting down medding, stand, and sit down before the next tick it will be treated as if you were medding the whole time. It won't consider the seconds you were standing up. So the six second time period IS relevant, some things are not calculated between ticks and sent to the server but are calculated at the beginning/end of each six seconds.
