The value of the Sarnak Ceremonial Dagger as a range item for casters has obviously been surpassed since the bulk of the posts on this thread. As to the rarity of the item, I have cleared the sarnak fort in Lake of Ill Omen on two occassions and looted one of these daggers. That's a decent drop rate at this time, but I could have just been lucky.

For all of you newbish types like me who do have Luclin...save, save, save, and go to the Bazaar and have a ball! It's a buyer's dream in there...competition lowers prices to next to nothing, and the little guys like us can finally score some decent stuff cheap =)

I bought this thing for about 20pp...not too bad at all.

I sold this thing to a merchant because the weapon sucks. Didn't even notice it was range wearable Item till I looked here. Duh <-- Bangs his head on the desk.

I was on Left Plat about two days ago and had it drop. My grp didnt notice I had looted it so I didn't say anything. We had set earlier that we would roll for the tabard, bracer, and leggings that drop there. No one on Tunare really knows how rare it is I think.

I was hunting at right ledge at the fort in LOIO and it dropped off a sarnak adherant(i lost the roll for it *sniff*sniff*) o well i couldent have used it anyway being a warrior.

I can confirm this in LOIO. Dropped off a sarnak adherant, mob showed a dagger in hand, so the item is visible on the mob.

I had a friend give it to me after mistakenly purchasing it for another of his characters and he found out he couldn't use it. Good thing it fits in the range slot cause it's actually not a great weapon. All the Int I get will help.

A couple of nights ago, I was shopping for my level 16 spells in Freeport and a guy, not sure of level, gave me one of these and 3 raw-silk cloaks for free. I put this in my range slot and gave the cloaks to newbies in the zone.

I got mine yesterday at the Sarnak Fort (LOIO) on the right patio off of a Sarnak Gem Oracle. Conned red to me at 23, but the group took it down without fuss. I would have to say that if you don't have the money to purchase other int items for the range slot, i.e. Students Homework, then this is the perfect item for pure casters. Easily attainable for a lower 20's character to get it (Just make sure you have a group). Thanks Gethebie (a Rockin' 23 Monk) for the dagger!!!

Got this off an adherent in LOIO. I was shocked by the selling price. Sold it in FP for 250 PP. The reason it is so expenisive is that it can be put in the ranged slot.

As i was going from FM to sell stuff in lake i decided to say hello to some old Sarnaks friends at the fort in Lake of Ill Omen and ask them a few plats.
The gem oracle at the top of the tower dropped it :)

i just hunted in Lake of ill omen today and looted a Blade of Passage, Finely Crafted Sheer blade, and one of these, a Sarnak Ceremonial Dagger... they didnt seem to be too good, the stats arent too impressive and i dont see any good stats, yet the price says around 700-1000pp ... this isnt even a rare drop. Why is it worth so much???

It is a rare peice. I have yet to see one drop or for auction, and if it looks near as cool as the Sarnak Ceremonial Sword then I would say the price is justified.

Can you say dagger of marnak? Same INT bonus as dagger at a cost of 100pp, and sometimes less. Sarnak dagger is much more expensive, but all the necro cares about is INT not WIS, so why waste time with this, when you can the same int bonus at 1/6 of the cost? GOD, I love being a necro!

At Sarnak Fort in LOIO. Was in a group inside front door. An Adherant added to our battle (con'd dark blue). Slayed him and got dagger.

I asked group if anyone needed, nobody spoke up.

May still give it to my enchanter friend though. Need before greed (whatta concept!)

Hi Hi :)
Got this Dagger today in Dalnir off Kly sarnak on the 2nd floor. How can you say it's awful when it can be used by casters in the RANGE SLOT! I know it doesn't say it up there but it can be place in the Range slot and never used as a weapon but as an Intel bonus !! Too bad druids can't use it :)

Yep He's right. I got this dagger around 28th level looting a corpse in the sarnak fortress. I can't remember what kind of Sarnak it was, but it can definitely be used in the range slot, making it very nice.

I know this item is worth 1k on many servers, but i got mine for 600. The fact that it is lore is not what i personally like about it, but i can use my staff of the observers and this weapon, which is fine until i get my GBS...hehe

Only dropped on sarnaks at fort not others wandering.....and they drop VERY RARELY! Drops off all sarnaks in fort....cant really camp for it just go there for xp and hope it turns up. Real popular for range slot....IO traded mine for a very nice 1200pp robe crystal something shroud or whatever but I got a good deal. Just come and hope it turns up.. (No real minimum lvl can be 18+)

Well i just loot it on an adherant by beeing on the ledge at right side in the fortress.

A friend enchanter will be happy with that.
i've also got a blade of passage from an other one. good weapon (hp+20 dmg7 1HS) it saved me from death few times ehehe.

Wrong, this item has also been found on the 3 spawn in overthere. I have hunted for a while and ahve never seen one, but Ive seen shouts in the zone that someone had gotten one.

Just wanted to confirm that the 3 spawn in OT has it, RARELY!
I was camping there with a group for 8-12+ hours for the exp, and it happened to appear on an adherant...
only thing that got me PO'ed was when I found it has wis, is for the range slot, and druids can't use it!
Anyway if you want to see it, send me a Tell before it winds up on my Necro or one of my other pure casters, awsome graphic btw if you ask me :-)
