It seems all the gang in the room with Rodrick Mardok can drop Coldain Heads - no faction message killing them (but they're on a 45 minute spawn cycle).

Kinda funny I read all the posts. But yet to read who to turn the heads into and will turning in heads giver you better Giant faction. I too want the Kael Armour Gauntlets of Dragon Slaying. I just started working faction. Any suggestion on how to get it up quicker?

Yeah, actually get positive faction from killing him. it's + Citizens of Frostone (the dorfs in CC)

been doing some armor searchen and realized im going with the kael armor...thought the work for faction will be a fun one im finding that alot of heads are droppen in GD the....afew are green lightblue and of course reds there easy fights at 44 and have 3 heads in 4 drops either lucky or jsut drop more commonly......keal faction is gonan be a toughty....but the overall goal is the kael armor..forest stalker

What are these for exactly?
I've spent quite some time hunting in the city of Thurgadin because of the fast spawn rate, relative ease of the guards, and because there are rarely other people fighting here. Having killed hundreds of guards (mostly by the entrance) some random Tavern Patrons, and the occasional LoreMaster or two (the easy ones... not the ones in the library) I NEVER saw a head drop inside the city.
Above level 45, the best place to get Coldain heads (that I know of) is from the 3 spawn of Coldain and Velium Miners in the caverns in the SE corner of Great Divide. The camp can be held by a good group of as little as 2 people. If you're looking for heads, hope this helps.

You can also apparently loot these off tar goos in the caverns behind Thurgadin. I just got one there.
