its a piece of equip ment with clicky effect Berserker Strentgh i think it is.Cast a form of Rune for like a couple mins with a peridot. pretty nice IMO
My guild is hunting dragons like its no tomorrow and I'm trying to get ally to giants without trashing my Coldain/Dain faction so that I can still complete the shawl quests as well. This is the answer I was looking for. :)
The other day i was ******** around in the thurgadin mines and ran upon one of these. I killed it and it dropped a coldain head. I have never seen these drop them before.

tell me, how exactly should he go about handing in a head to a giant that will gut him if he gets the chance? (unless he has a faction-modifying spell, but even then, its tricky)
I was told to turn the heads into the giant that is just inside the entrance in Kael. BTW he may con green, but you don't want to fight him. This quest is to raise faction with Kael, but without killing any dwarfs.
I've heard that too, but from the manner the head was dropped (presumably the tar goo ate a Coldain), I would have expected there to be a quest in Thurgadin for them, similar to the Lost Child quest in Qeynos maybe.
I've tried hailing everyone in Thurgadin and Icewell and trying possibly relevant keywords, but no response (then again, my faction is still apprehensive).
If you are on Xegony, and willing to part with your Coldain Heads, I will gladly purchase any and all heads you have. Send me a tell if you're on there.
Think about it. You dont wanna damage your faction too much with the dwarves, you want to gain faction with the giants, to do this you need dwarve heads. The mines have been overrun with these creatures who are terrorising the dwarven mine workers. Essentially they are here to provide you with a means of getting coldain heads without damaging your faction with the coldain in the process. I have read you may get a faction hit when you hand the heads in to the giants but it beats getting a double faction blow to the coldain by having to kill the dwarves to get the heads as well.
and they also conn blue at 36 nice soloing for a 36 monk.. long as the guards dont hit em.. i have noticed that while hunting these if i get a runner the guards are a lil slow to hop on it.. unless its almost dead then they are more than willing to hit it fer 50 to finish it off..gee thanks <mutters something about roasted dwarf> wertakk nekkard 36 monk brell
if u talk to a miner in one of the hole in the walls he will look sad at u if u ask him why hes sad u will get they had to close the mines because of nasty critters their may be a quest with rare drops from the spawns in the mine
Well, I know you can turn the Coldain heads into the Captain in Kael Drakkel for positive faction for Kromrif, Kromzek, King Tomax, and negative faction for Coldain dwarves.
I just did the quest and received + to all giant factions, - CoV . There was no faction hit to Coldains. If you want to keep your Coldain faction, the giant to turn the heads in to is Captain Bvellos in the bank.
These guys con blue to a level 35 and still blue most of the time to a level 40.
They drop from a few copper to about 4p.
