Asp Poison Sac

Drop rate is not a problem, spawn rate is.
So, kill all moving creatures between the lake and NRO zoneline, to make them respawn as [a cistern asp].

You need three of these for the lowest level poison making trophy, so I headed to Ro. Two up on track, got one drop, in that northern part of South Ro, by the dunes, madmen and spiders, etc. No more on track, so I slaughtered everything in sight, in that area. Over the next 30 min, about 12-15 more spawned, and it took that many to get two more sacs. Hope the combines succeed :)

Near the Dark Elf camp in the middle of So Ro was my best hunting for cistem asps with a lvl 19 necro, got 8 asp poison sacs in less the an hour for my barbarian rogue. Other asps in zones like commomlands no longer seem to drop the asp poison sacs, or else they are rarer.

A cistern asp is no longer in North Ro, they are in South Ro only. A Brown asp is seen in North ro.

The best spot for this seems to be in South Ro killing 'a cistern asp', at Dervish Camp 2 - loc is pos3000, neg1000 incase you don't know the area or have maps loaded.

I cleared everything in sight, and would guess I saw 1 cistern asp every 20 minutes or so. I didn't get my first poison sac until my 6th kill, got my 2nd 2 kills later. So the drop rate doesn't seem to be too bad, it's the spawn rate that is horrible. Just keep everything dead in the area and plan to be there for a few hours.

This is used in the Wakizashi of the Frozen Skies quest originating in Stonebrunt. This is the only item NOT found in Stonebrunt. The easiest place I have found to get these is the Oasis of Marr.
