EW is ok... stand around -7000, +1600 a few will path this area.
Ew is far better than Everfrost both in terms of drop rate and spawn rate.

The mammoth meat that drops in Al'Kabor's Nightmare is no drop. It is not for tradeskills , but for some other quest. Please remove this zone from the information here. Thanks.

I believe they nerfed the meat drops on the progression servers. They are more of an uncommon to rare drop. About 1 drop per 8 to 10 kills in EP.

yeah after 5 hours over 2 days tracking killing only 9 meat.

I got a stack of meat from EW in about an hour or so versus two in about the same time in EF. The drop rate and the spawn rate seems to be miles ahead if you hunt in Velious.
Don't know if anyone cares anymore but EW seems better. The SE corner has mammoths that are higher level but more concentrated than EF and seem to drop meat about half the time. Good luck!

i think this might be a rare drop now. i've killed 33 mammoths in EF with no mammoth meat drops. pissing me off actually, but what can you do? *shrug*
Killed 6 mammoths on a trip to EF today, 3 of them dropped meat. 5 of them were Wooly Mammoths, 1 of them was a Calf, and it dropped meat. You were just unlucky I'm afraid :o(
Was killin mammoths for tusks and destroying meat, when someone offered 5pp per mamm meat. I sthis used for anything other than the cougarskin mask?
You can use it to make mammoth steaks and mammoth sandwiches.
Their real value comes from the fact they are a key ingredient in Halas 10 lbs. meat pies. The pies give good stats and are good way to raise high level baking skills.
YES! EF mammoth meats are the same as EW ones. Meaning, that the cougar-skin mask quest is EXTREMELY easy. Just get a few meats off of mammoth calves in EF (lvl 12-14 soloable) then get a HQ cougar skin wherever you can (lots of places mentioned in the quest description posts). Turn them in and PRESTO, nice mask for just about anyone......Although if you are a low lvl tryin to get this mask (great idea) you might.....definately need an invis spell or use sneak/hide as a rogue. Deffinately a must for rogues. DEX and AGI, not to mention the HP and AC, it's perfect for a rogue. Use it until you can afford a better one (probably into your 30s at least).

I'm not sure either if the meats are the same in both places. However I would recommend getting one meat from each mammoth (everfrost,eastwastes) and try to stack them, if they stack.

Is this the same mammoth meat you get from everfrost mammoths?
