Kejak Tigress in Stonebrunt dropped one today
Tiger skin now has a tradeskill tag. It can be used to make poison vials.
As far as I'm concerned none of the quests this is used for are worth bothering with. The reward at the end of each is junk compared to what you have to go through to complete them. In fact,for a game called EverQUEST,the dev team doesn't seem to understand the concept of quests. Most quests are a waste of time and not worth doing. We need more that are actually worth it,either in xp,faction,or reward items. The least they can do is update existing quests with better items or xp.
Just my opinion,so please be gentle :-)
BTW Does anyone know what recipe(s) this is used in? It's now marked with the "This item is used in trade skills" so any info would be nice :-)

I agree the entire old world before The Serpent Spine expansion need major updating and upgrading. As for the rewards those are determined in BETA. The BETA players are the ones who tell the dev. team after each quest what they feel is an adequate reward. They compare all feedback and that is how they determine the rewards for the quests. Back then the reward was sufficient.

For those of you looking for these Tiger Skins, go visit Stonebrunt Mountains on Odus...takes a little travel to get through The Warrens to get there, but they drop like running water off the Tiger type mobs there!

I am in the Akanon zoo right now. Trying to get this stupid skin. I have killed him alot just getting ruined cat pelts right now. It has not made me kos to anything yet, I kept falling in and had to run around to get back to where the cage was and nothing bothered me.
Trick is get to where the cage is and Levitate then go right over into cage. I sit here and wait for them to pop.

having some trouble with this quest i am a lvl 25 barbarian warrior and can only walk around in crouch whichmakes it where i can not jump across the gap there for if i shoot it with my bow clock works jump all over me. how can i do this quest?

I have killed this guy like 10 times (29 druid) and havent gotten this pelt ONCE!!! i just hope i can do the quest anyway being a halfling.If anyone wants to talk im on Bristlebane server like 24/7 name is Jajkim...

Yeah that's a good trick .. but we are paladin cant bind and gate out .. So how come we get out ... ar we must bring some class who can gating ?

because I keep getting the ruined Cat Pelt after killing the damn beast almost 20 times... so I don't know if there's really such a skin called Tiger Skin.... please advice.. thanks

The skin IS called a "Tiger Skin", although it seems to be a fairly rare drop. It took me 13 kills to finally get one. It takes a while (spawn time of about 6 mins), but they do drop.

Where do you get the skins? If the Ak'Anon zoo is the only place, do you lose Ak'Anon faction for killing it?

Just got mine from the zoo. lost no faction, but a bloody clockwork there killed me. I was lucky, because when i ran back into ak annon to get my corpse, the tiger was waiting at the entrance. very easy kill at 23, but make sure you root it.
There should be a big warning sign, not to attack tigers in ak anon. people there HATE it.
maybe i should have jumped to the tiger in the zoo, there is a huge gap between the walkway and the plattform. That could have prevented the clockwork from attacking me. Learned it the hard way )

Clockwork killed me, too. Tried jumping the gap to the inside area. Didn't work. Wound up in the bottom of the zoo and had to climb back up. Unfortunately, I'm still waiting to get my tiger skin. If anyone can offer suggestions on it, they would be much appreciated!

This was easy to get for my lvl 4 necromancer to killl it. There is a glitch if you stand behind the water traugh(sp?) in the corner and blast it with spells. It cant attack you unless you leave the corner. Got my pelt 1st try this way.

I was sow'd when i came in. Levitated and floated across. Tiger didnt aggro or anything. Swarmed and rooted. As soon as i cast on the tiger one fot he clockworks went bonkers wanting to kill me but he couldnt get to me. Just killed my second tiger and no skin but they spawn fast so I dont care.

1. Bind yourself outside of Ak'Annon.
2. Jump into the tiger pit. This is done the easiest with SOW or levitate.
3. Kill the cat for as many pelts as you want. Rooting is almost a must here as the cat bolts otherwise.
4. The guards will not jump across the gap to get you in the pit. However, be careful not to sit next to walls while waiting for respawn (every 6 minutes). The clockworks will aggro through walls.
5. Once satisfied w/ your loot, gate out and it's over.
