Yes, it still drops. Got two of them in the 2+ hours. We (a lvl 77 Rng w/ healer merc, 66 Dru, 62 Bst) cleared the area 5 or 6 times. 1st drop by Siren type mob, 2nd dropped by Neriad type mob. Yes, they swarm on ya, can never seem to pull just one, unless it just spawned & you pull it right away. Only problem we had was "Faleniel of Darkwater" (Chanter epic 1.5 mob) she was tough to kill, she took out lil bsty before I could get agro... & resisted my nukes... wish I had my dot's loaded, duel weilding Piercer seemed to work better on her than my 1h slashers
This thing will eventually drop ... after about 1500 mobs NOT EXAGERATING

I looted a Sargasso Spear after killing 4 mobs; 2 a siren beguiler, and 2 a siren myrmidon. I basically swam down the water tube then across a short tunnel that surfaces inside an orange colored room. I didn't even move from the room. I killed 2 static beguilers and 2 myrmidon roamers and bam.
The picture icon for the 'Sargasso Spear' is the same as 'Swordfish Bill' that drops far too commonly off the 'a swordfish' so be careful not to habitually delete the SS accidently.

my question is if the spear is VISIBLE on the mobs?
Had this drop for me today (24August) off a siren beguiler.

had one drop form a neriad sea princess- wanted the shawl though- does the neriad shawl still drop?

We were about to raid Faleniel for a guildies epic 1,5. When we ascended out of the water under the temple we got a load of adds. After the carnage was done without any losses a neat necro 55 pet buff spell and this spear dropped.
Then Faleniel dropped.
Then Faleniel dropped.
My 70 warrior friend just got one of these--he said it procs all over the place and it's awesome with the new bandolier. So I went down to try to get one for another friend... It's easy to get lost going to the camp and the fish see through invis and the maidens like to blast. The camp itself SUCKS: almost nothing can be easily singled at 70; there's pathing problems--a bad pull can mean 2-5 mobs mostly casters; sometimes mobs drop down from the walkways above; the beguilers love to fear pets and strip mass amounts of buffs; the templars CH 2-5 times/fight even while being bashed. I died several times and in the space of 7 hours must have killed 50+ warriors and countless other mobs--no spear. So good luck getting one--it is NOT an uncommon drop--it's super rare. I won't be going back... But I did get some walrus sleeves +2 all stats lol--the loot sucks too...
One dropped today on Bertox off a Neriad Princess.

Purchased this item in the bazaar to use with a shaman/pally combo. It procs quite often, but the snare duration seems to be completely random.
We have had snares blow immediately (similar to root) and have hand ones that last through the mobs death and everything in between.
I can't find anything that says it is random (and what kind of stupid effect is a random length snare anyway..might as well just root)
Is this a bug or is it "working as intended"?

This spear dropped 2/09/04 off a Siren Myrmidon at the base of the stairs to the Mistress's temple area on the WW side of Siren's Grotto. Killed a few dozen of the Siren Myrmidons. Only one spear drop so far.
Quick question. Do these still drop? I've been posting "WTB" or at least see a link, for about a week now. If anyone on Ayonae Ro has one...hit me up. I'm looking to buy. Thanks,

drops uncommonly from "a siren myrmidion" (spelling?) in the lower palace area on the WW side of the zone.
