Was bored helping a guildy kill things in SK and I got a little kill happy and killed "An Interrogater" and this robe dropped.

You combine the spider silks in a sewing kit to make swatches. I recommend getting a large sewing kit, as you'll notice a small is not very practical.
You don't need a sewing kit at all. Just use the sewing thing that is located in most cities (like the forge or oven for instance). It can handle up to 12 items and is very useful for people in Freeport since there is noone selling another sewing kit than the small one (at least i found noone).

what do you combine the silk in to make the swatch?

You need 2 silk swatches and a pattern. A swatch is made when 2 spider silks are combined.

Spider Silk and a Robe pattern. Unsure of the number of spider silks necessary, so check EQTraders.com.

they actually look alright on an iksar monk (my iksar monk of the 7th level currently wears one)

this robe looks cool...it is great. Yes, it is brown but it looks like a *REAL* robe unlike those bright purple robes..plus monks can use it and it looks killer on Iksar Monks (as i am)

these robes are ugly. i've made probably 40 of them, but i refuse to wear one, because they are *** ugly. they're like, nasty brown.
I wouldn't wear anything but an ugly robe fyi. What is a pretty looking cute robe gonna help with in combat anyway?
