1-143: Filleted bear/lion. Don't bother with wolf or mammoth unless you'll be making Halas pies later. Nonetheless, it goes without saying that mammoth meat needs to be saved and stockpiled for making the pie; it's hard to come by while slaughtering mammoths in Everfrost Peaks.
Just buy/make a filleting knife, then head to Shadow Haven. One of the gnomes/halflings near the bank and Nexus zone has unlimited bear and lion supplies, and one of them also sells the spit.
Save a few stacks of both Filleted Bear and Lion and put it in your bank slots (in a bag, of course).
143-191: Patty melt. It certainly helps if you go to Jaggedpine Forest with a few 10-slot boxes or bags, and fill 'er up with cheese.
Make or buy a non-stick frying pan. Buy the meat from the same vendor in SH, and loaves of bread can be bought at PoK. This time, save a few stacks of patty melts, as they make a great non-stat food item that last longer than regular 'meals'.
191-226: By this time, you are skilled enough to make Cream (requires dairy spoon), Creamy Fennel Sauce, and Bear/Lion/Wolf/Mammoth Fillet in Cream without too many failures. However, expect to fail at least once per stack of ingredients with these subcombines.
If you're short of cash at this point and you can dish out a lot of DPS, go to Highkeep and hunt the guards there; sell all the Fine Steel Short Swords from the guards for some nice cash. I made as much as 100pp an hour living off the guards. It gives a lot of faction hits to the corrupt guards in Qeynos and Freeport, and you're guaranteed to be KOS to all Highpass and Highkeep people by the time you're ready to leave, so take that into consideration. A few pints of Cloudy Potions in your backpack never hurts for travelling to and from these three human cities.
[note: An Erudite here sells pet spells, next to a guy that sells rare bard songs. This Erudite should con indifferent to the good races, which is a good thing as the other vendors will hate you.]
Buy a pie tin or simply make one yourself. Make lots of Clump of Dough; you'll need two units for every combine. Now comes the expensive ingredient, sage leaves. A stack of these costs 42pp with 110 CHA, so each failure at making the pies will cost you. It takes only 10 skillups after 191 to get yourself the Apprentice title, so it's still worth it.
This stuff used to sell about 7pp each at Povar server's bazaar. I went in, priced it at 5pp each, and my stock was cleaned out overnight. Many traders are now selling this item at 5pp.
