Yes, it is a crock to lower the drop rate off Inny just becuase they "made it easier by adding it to the mini-bosses". Who cares? A rare drop off a mini (ultra rare by all my raids up there) and now to make it 50% off Inny himself is a total crock. If you kill the god, drop the stone and be done with it. It takes a lot for people to make it up to Inny, and VI shouldn't sit there and 'punish' us by hoarding all our time on what essentially becomes a worthless epic after you gain about 6 more levels (and if you are in a strong guild).
Come to think of it, I've seen L61 Rangers that are STILL looking for the SEoC just to say they completed it (and on the off chance they decide to add more to the Epics at a later date).

Went up to hate kill Inny and he did no drop the emerald. Sadly VI decides to put an epic ranger piece on a once a week spawn, that is a pain in the *** to get to, and doesn't always drop the epic piece.

bro, u dont understand. It used to be an always drop thing from inny. They changed it so it also can drop off of all the mini bosses. so they made it like a 50% chance of dropping off inny. Mini bosses have a rarer chance of dropping it. Killed inny last night. Sadly i didn't get the stone since my guildie has needed it for over a year now and i defered it to him since ive only had swifty for 5 months now. alot of people dont bother with inny anyway. Only time inny is really killed is for the stone, or just for kicks. Hes not even really a challenge being the easiest of all gods.

What's your point? Are you saying it's justified that something that spawns once a week, that you have to clear an entire plane to get to, should only drop a piece for a quest, SOME of the time?
I know he used to have 100 percent drop rate, back when he was level 55, and on the first floor. Then they 'beefed' him up, moved him over to the second floor, and added the emerald chance to minibosses.
I really don't see what you are getting at, the fact that he is easy to kill does not make it justified for him not to drop this piece every time. Hell, by that rationale, Ragefire and Severilious should drop their respective epic pieces 1/3 or 1/4.

Actually, we've killed severilous 6 times.. the past 6 times he's spawned, and he only dropped green dragon scales twice. Might just be bad luck, or someone at VI read your post and agreed. Plus.. the warrior epic is a real pain in the um.. butt.. compared to ours, i completed all but the SEoC in a week, and i'm by far not in an "uber" guild. My bro has been working on warrior epic for almost 6 months now and still needs several planar raids (hand of maestro, spiroc wingblade) to get close to finishing it.

At least I know there are other people out there that are as peeved at SoE as I am for this bottleneck of the ranger epic. To call up the forces to do Hate (not always easy as Hate is so boring for most people now-a-days), to spend a day doing it (if it hadn't been cleared earlier that week for "kicks") and to get to the god of the plane ONLY to have it MAYBE drop!? This is complete and utter BS!!! At least when it was a 100% chance drop off Inny before the Hate revamp, I KNEW where I had to go and what I had to do to finish my epic, now? It's all hit and miss (and total BS). /rant off

Last night both the Maestro and Inny dropped the shattered emerald of corruption. We had 2 rangers who needed it, so it worked out well. But it is NOT a common drop. After over a year of trips to Hate, the first Ranger finally got this, and the other Ranger was exceptionally lucky to get it on only his third trip to Hate. Remaining drops from Inny were disappointingly common, would not have made the effort of taking him out worthwhile except that we owed him one ;-)

So, this is a single no-drop item that drops off mini-bosses and the boss in Hate. So the only way to get it is to be there and loot the body. What exactly does "Multi-Quest" mean to you in this situation?

It means just how you described it. Someone that's not a ranger, (hopefully cause no rangers were there), looted the emerald and banked it. Only this is needed for the Earthcaller, as you get the "base" sword for it during the Swiftwind saga. Therefore, player x hands the trent this, and then I give him my blade, to get back my earthcaller. 80k? Not even on your best day. Yeah, proc is super nice, but now I can get better overall drops from PoP, Luclin, etc... Epics are done a lot of times just because you want to do them. They take time and effort and personally, I like the feeling of the accomplishment I have of wielding my swiftwind. Plus, the graphics look cool! :)
80K is a ridiculous price. I would never ever pay that. Whomever was asking that is one greedy ^%@#$@^

Really needs to be changed to very annoyingly rare. I know common is the default.
Huh? This thing is TOO rare. I don't know where you get that it's common.
I think he means it should be changed to "rare" in the item description... it really isn't a common drop anymore
Also have had this drop of Maestro.
