The Gobball Set pieces are dropped by different monsters Gobball (Amulet, Boots & Hammer), Black Gobbly (Belt), Gobball War Chief (Cloak, Hat & Hammer) & White Gobbly (Ring).
This set is considered to be the next step up from the Young Adventurer Set. Any place with large groups of Gobballs and enough people will be good (The Cradle). F2P (Free to Play) characters may try gobbal hunting one square above the northern entrance to Astrub(5,-23). Note that while F2P it will never drop a Gear unless there is a P2P (Pay to Play) person in the party due to Prospecting Lock, also the hat and cloak are not available as drops here, but the resources dropped from the gobballs will eventually get the money to buy them.
Good character uses are anything that use Strength and anything that fights in close combat, such as Iops, Sacriers and Fecas. Other uses are for Intelligence or Strength based Ecaflips, Xelors, Cras, Eniripsas, Sadidas, Osamodas', and on occasion, Srams or Pandawa So overall, the Gobball Set is good for almost every character. You'll just need some extra cash when it comes to the hat and cloak as they are more expensive than the other parts.
