Yes he does. He's in the eastern boat. And with my CHA at 172, the price of 16.6p is correct.

Ok, where does this spell drop? Or do you buy it? Or can you research it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just went there. This spell in fact can be bought from this vendor for 16-17pp. I bought several to assure that it was not just a spell that someone sold the the vendor. Yiem Rynawu's loc in the Abysmal Sea is this: -163 -208 +98. Hope this helps.
#REDACTED, Posted: Jun 20 2004 at 9:18 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) umm, this is a research only spell so it was probably sold to the merchant and he probably doesnt just sell it.

I ran over there right after the last patch and the spell is for sale. It's no longer a research only spell.

There are a few others on the vendor that are normally npc-dropped.

it says trivial at 122 isnt the research formula level - 15 x 5. that would be 34-15=19x5=95.max skill is 95.that would be 27 under triv not a good success rate
Regen rates

8 mana per tick is significantly more mana than C1 at this level. C2 can't be cast on you until level 41. As a result, during levels 34-40, this is by far your best path to mana regen. Once you ding 41, C2 will give you more mana than Call of Bnoes and no hp recourse.

So while you give yourself a mana regen, you are also casting a DoT on yourself.
Kinda like cannibalize and mage rods, but over time. (And more controlled, as you can turn it off, if you need to)

Or am I reading that wrong?

Geez, do role-players need a few swigs of dwarven spirits before puting themselves through this pain?

yes, 'call of bones' regens your mana while dotting you for 16 hp per tick... but you can more than make up for this with 'vampiric curse' (level 29) which gives you back 21 hp per tick while damaging your opponent for 9 ticks... and it continues to give you 21 hp per tick through the 9 ticks even if your target dies before 9 ticks are up.

The necro conversions r always one step above any C for that lvl anyway. When chanters r just getting Breeze, necros get a conversion that equals C1. at 34 u get a conversion that equals to C2, which is this one. Even at 64 (the last conversion u get) it is 3 times faster mana regen than C5. So yes necros r the best class as far as solo and mana regen, so what we dot ourselves, we can tap the mobs to get the hp back anyway. So its like a heal and a DD spell all in one.

Surgonan (55 Warrior)
Cuthack (33 Necro)
Grenaab (34 Beast Lord)
Arrudan (35 Chanter)
Wicrift (34 Wizzard)
Surgonon (35 Pally)
Drakons (26 Druid)

lol ive played almost every class at least once

Actually, the parts about the low lvls are incorrect. Necros get 2/tick at lvl 8, which is the same as breeze, and chanters get it at 16. Necros do not get anything that is better than 2/tick until lvl 20, so until lvl 20, necro regen = chanter regen. Then, at 29, necro and chanter regen is the same again, because that is when chanters get c1. Only at 34 are necros permanently ahead.
#REDACTED, Posted: Jul 10 2003 at 8:51 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Play a necro, this spell and others like it may seem bad but it really really starts to help later when you get tons of hps and you have a pet up and you get the huge lifetaps it just keeps speeding your killing more and more and more. The final level 64 spell you can get like this for a necro is 50 mana for 63 hps every tick and you can use it while sitting on a horse since it turns you into a skeleton. Mt necro is only 29 atm but based on the mana conversions i've used they are very awesome and best of all they make you not even need KEI (since you can'y use both at the same time anyway) so in turn an even better solo player...

That is correct. You cast a dot on yourself that does 16hp per tick damage and in exchange for that you get 8 mana per tick.
