Probably duh, but I went ahead and tried to craft this druid spell on Progression server Lockjaw. "You do not meet the requirements to create this..." So maybe it'll work after Luclin or something.
Tried to craft this, day 1 of LDON drop on Yelinak TLP server. I have a skill of 102 in Research, and I got the same message about failing to meet the requirements. So... I don't know what that means? But we're definitely in LDON (just got done running 3 different LDON instances) and I can't craft it, at least right now. Not sure what's going on...
Maybe the craftable ones just unlock at a later date?

This spell can now be bought in POK and its not just a run speed sow for indoors it also improves night vision

I was hoping to get Spirit of the Shrew at the Bazaar. I got Pack Shrew and it worked on just me. I remember friends telling me years ago that pack spells only worked on groups, never solo. This seems to have changed. I'm happy that the 1,000 PP I payed was enough. I was not looking forward to paying 1K twice! (Once for each version.)
The Quill makes the Difference. Make sure you get the right one or you'll Make the wrong spell
Be carefull on buying this in the Bazzar and make sure you get the one crafted for your class.

This spell along with all the LDoN spells are now player made. If you can't find the recipie here, go to eqtraders. They have them al listed.
says a ranger spell does not list other crafts such as a bst for this spell are some just test gotten
You go into bazaar it say just for ranger so this a ranger only spell live?
You might as well wait and spend your points on pack shrew.You get more points the higher lvl you are anyways.
yes, but the nice thing about spirit it's castable on pets. granted, pack is as well, but not until lvl 65 at the cost of 12 AA.

heh, welcome to LDoN hell. nope, this spell was not made researchable. the only way to get it is still adverture points.
on the flip side, today's patch supposedly nerfed the monster missions so you might have a slight increase in luck for putting together a LDoN group. operative word, *might*.

imho spirit of shrew is good because u can single cast, for pets. and ldon in 30's is good exp and fairly easy to complete. all you need is a group willing to do 2 or 3 at a time.

Can I find this spell sold by a merchant other then using my Adventure Points?
According to lucy the locations respective to class are:
Ranger - 72 pts - East Commonlands

Saw this spell up for sale at adventurer's merchant in Butcherblock too. Think it went for about 34 AP though.

The Shaman version of this spell is in the Butcherblock camp. The Ranger version is in East Commonlands. The others, I'm unsure of.

I have found Pack Shrew at the Butcherblock Wayfarer camp merchant but it is only for BST. Where can I get the Shammy version?
Pack Shrew for Shaman is in BBM. where the single is i do not know...you dont really need the single though.
Well my little 30 BL will want the single when he gets to 39, but if he were 45 it would be a waste, yes. It might take me until level 39 to get the 49 points saved as fast as I am getting them at level 30 :o)
So, if you are of a level and class that the pack version is one or two levels away or if it is lower than you ... then it will be a waste, but if you have a ways to go for the pack version then the single might be nice.

Spirit of the Shrew and Pack Shrew are sold at different LDoN wayfarer camps and the price of the spell, and any other LDoN spell, is based on the level at which YOU can use the spell. So it is broken up into class specific scrolls to regulate the price. If they made one scroll for everyone, like traditional multi class scrolls, then it would cost the same number of points regardless who was buying it. The locations where you can buy each spell are listed below. You must earn at least as many points in that particular theme as the spell costs before the merchant will sell it to you. They are, of course, all nodrop.

SHM (lvl29) 24 points - South Ro (Guk)
BST (lvl39) 48 points - South Ro (Guk)
DRU (lvl34) 36 points - East Commons (Rujark)
RNG (lvl44) 72 points - East Commons (Rujark)

I see this spell for rangers at EC. It goes for 72pts. And to re-iterate, yes you have to earn at least 72pts in Ruj Hills to be able to get it here.
Speaking of the ranger version:
1. Is this only available on the EC merchant for rangers?
2. Do you have to have to do EC missions for this to come available, or will any location work if you have the points?
3. How much does it cost?

I've seen separate versions of this and pack shrew available, and for varying amounts of adventure points.
I have 130+ pts atm, and see the SHM and BST versions separately for around 30-50 pts, but haven't seen any for sale available to rangers, at least from the BB adventure merchants.
Anyone know where the ranger versions are located?

I can confirm that the Druid version is sold in EC for 36 points. Am I mistaken in thinking that you have to earn points in the zone where the item is sold before you can actually start buying items from the vendors? So far I've only earned points in the areas close to EC(So Ro, Oasis, No Ro) so when I go to Adv Merchants in BB or Everfrost all I can buy are the augmentation items.

I can confirm that other than augmentation items, earned points are specific to the area you are hunting in. The points you earn must be spent at the adventurers camp they were granted from.

Not quite true... you can spend your points at any camp, but the items available to purchase are based on the points earned at the particular camp... For instance, to buy a 50 point item at EC, you will have needed to earn 50 points in that camp, but if you already spent say 25 points, and go earn 25 points in another camp, then your total points will allow you to get this 50 point item.

Oh... Forgot it cost around 36 points.
They can be purchased from the Adventure Merchants with the Adventure points you win from doing the missions.
