At 56 there is no reason to spend a buff slot on this spell (one hit and poof it's gone) or a bag slot on the jasper you have to carry around.

well this spell is great 4 a necro when going solo because it gives u time to let ur pet get a hold of them and pull agro and u dont even lose health 4 the period of time...overall its good 4 mobs at ur lvl =)
I just got this spell with my SK at level 56. Doesn't seem to be that useful. About the only thing I could think of to use it for what before fighting a really tough mob to give myself a little bit of extra hp before I start taking damage. Anyone else think of a use for it, that's as good as just using a plain ole lifetap?
I have found one use for this spell. Ever fought the shades in Twilight Sea? They lifetap proc like crazy (hits you for 1 point of damage, lifetaps for 150). However, if you have this on it completely eliminates their lifetap proc. Problem is they'll burn through this shield fairly quickly. Then they'll be back to tapping ya :/

By "completely eliminates their lifetap proc" do you mean it still eats your hp's (or the extra absorb damage hp's) but they don't get to use the hp's to heal themselves?
