Stacking?
# Jan 20 2004 at 9:15 AM Rating: Decent
For some reason, this spell won't stack with Winged Death.

Normally stacking is blocked by more than one AC or FR debuff component, but Winged Death doesn't have a debuff in it. Kinda curious as to why Breath of Ro and WD will stack, but this one (which is just an upgrade to Breath of Ro) does not.

This is either not true or has been fixed at this point... both the name of the scroll and its name when scribed are "Immolation of Ro."

Actually, was in the Baz today and the name is listed "Ro's Illumination"

Ro's Illumination is a different spell altogether.

Hand of Ro - ac/atk/fr debuff (3 mins)
Immo of Ro - ac/fr debuff with dot (1 min)
Ro Illum - ac/atk debuff (10 mins)

Cast in that order due to FR adjusts. HoR sticks almost all the time. I usually skip the DoT unless I am kiting and *want* aggro. Usually HoR can be cast early in the fight and not steal aggro even on raid mobs. I usually wait until mobs drops to 85% to stick RI, otherwise I usually get aggro. Raid mobs will require a HoR refresh towards the end.

These debuff spells are, imo, the most underused in the game, but they make a huge difference, especially if a mob is not slowable. These almost always stick.

Agreed, I use them all the time in grouping too. With the AC and ATK debuffs on them (and I know Immo and hand stack) stacked up you can sort of think about it as thousands of damage is saved from being dealt to your comrades (I'm talking about WoS+ mobs here with that) and at least a couple thousand more is dealt with the AC and ATK decrease.

They're also fairly low mana cost, so when I don't have the mana to nuke I can contribute DPS by lowering the mob's and raising our group's. That's some really good stuff.
