One way to use this...

Fantastic spell for a least one particular task:

PL'ing.

I PL a group containing my 53 warrior (boxed), my wife's 53 Warrior, a 53 Ranger and a 52 Beasty with my 61 Druid.

Worked out well in Natimbi against mobs that can do significant damage to either of the warriors. The system works like this:

1) Secondary tank pulls... say... a dark blue/white.

2) Main tank THROWS a Formed Suspension Of Slime VII at the mob to get aggro. NOTE: While the snare rarely lands, this is a very effective way to build hate, very quickly - far better than a bow, and actually even better than Bellow.

3) Once engagement starts, main tank hits Melee, Slam, Taunt and Bellow. If you're really worried about not getting aggro, make him hit Charge too.

4) The druid snares immediately after the main tank engages, but waits for the mob to get down in health a bit - use your discretion here to know when so that the group you are PL'ing gets XP - then touches off this bad boy.

Dead mob, heal the main tank, med up while the puller goes to get another victim. Lather, rinse, repeat. The Fierce Cragwalker dropped like a rock to this technique twice last night.

I use this spell all the time. I box the druid and I try to pull 2 mobs at once. Works great in LDON. When you cast this spell, with 1 mob, it will land 3 times. With 2 mobs, it will land on each mob 2 times. With 3 mobs it will land on 3 mobs once and land once more on one of the 3. With 4 mobs, it lands once on each. Any more then 4 the rest do not get hit. As you can see, it has the most benefit with 2 mobs. Also, with crits going, it hits for 1700s. On some rare occasions you can do 1700 x 4 waves = 6800

How to Use
# Oct 18 2004 at 11:07 AM Rating: Decent
Exactly how does one use this spell? I have never been able to figure out how to get the third wave to hit, since the mob is usually moving towards me...
Soloing, I root the mob, and when cast it lands twice, the scond wave breaking root, the the third misses.
In group, cast and mob PLUS group members get hit....

Groupmembers are protected from those spells. (maybe not on pvp-servers but on regular servers they are)

For the rest, it'as surely a trick to get them hit for 3 waves, but then again up to 4 mobs been hit 2 times is already quite efficient. But basically you don't use these kind of spells unless you are specifically ordered to do so. Like in AE groups.
Great for Druid in DPS role

Broke this out today, doing first and second tier POP XP groups. great Damage/Mana, especially if the mob is being debuffed. Someone in group said it works even better with Eci's, but I seemed to have good luck with just casting this. I'd guess 1:6-8 fully/partially resisted on DB mobs, resists of 1:4-5 waves on white/yellow (POV cave mobs). Also handy for groups that multi-tank mobs, just be careful if you're chanter is at work nearby, he will not be happy about you breaking mez 2x's.

All in all, great dps, and you can cast another spell once this one cooks off. Careful with the aggro if you get greedy, though. :)

# Nov 27 2003 at 7:37 PM Rating: Decent
if you cast this spell more than once does it lower their HP bye more than 850. Or can you only cast it once ?

The way it works is it does 3 waves of damage, 850 each, though each is independently resistable, so they could each do different amounts of damage.
NICE
