Has anyone tried to research these? If my counts are correct, it would take:

1 Alum Powder
1 Tin Powder
1 Catechu Powder
32 Water flasks
13 Gnomish Heat Sources
9 Empty Vials
1 Fustic Pigment
2 Iron Powder
1 Ink of the Nameless
1 Quill
1 Divine Treatment
1 Elemental Treatment
1 Rock Salt
1 Magnetite Powder
3 Gold Bar
1 Platinum Bar
1 Celestial Solvent
1 Elderberry
2 Emerald

And from player drops:
1 Shabby Velium Parchment
2 Saltpeter
1 Crystalized Sulfur
Duration of Pot9

Is the base duration of PoT9 a flat 140 minutes? Or does it vary by level? I hit 63 tonight and scribed the spell, looking forward to buffing some friends. With spell casting reinforcement 1, and no EE gear, my duration is only 104 minutes. Shortly after that, someone did an mgb 9, and its duration was only about 120. I asked and he said he didn't have any EE gear or AAs.

it says 1 hour 40 minutes = 100 minutes.
Difference?

Isn't there an AA ability that allows some spells cast to be "group"? If so that would be the only way I know of to cast PoT9 on entire groups. Otherwise, PoT9 is NOT group castable.

To my knowledge, advanced spell research only goes up through the level 60 spells.

PotCabbage = Single Target (Level 59)
PotGlades = Group PotCabbage(level 60)

PoT9=single target(level 63)
BoT9=group or PoT9 (level 64)

Virtue DOES NOT overwrite any of these four PoT line spells!...And they DO NOT STACK!

If a cleric casts Virtue with someone that has one of the PoT spells...it will not hold.

If a druid casts a PoT spell on someone who has virtue...it will not hold.

Virtue has more HPs...but the PoT lines also include mana regen.

the PoT and BoT have 8 tics mana regen...equivalent to Clarity II...and DOES stack with all enchanter mind buffs.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the stacking info, but the mana info is a bit off.

Cabbage = 6 mana regen
Nine = 8 mana regen
Clarity = 4-9 mana regen (depending on level of caster, not sure what level it starts giving 9 at)
Clarity II = 11 mana regen
KEI (C3) = 14 mana regen (plus other mind enhancements)

I would like to know if there is a level restriction on these druid buffs though. If not, then lowbies can get better than KEI level mana regen with a maxed C and a Cabbage. Throw in a beastie spiritual and you can get better than c5 regen.

The level requirement for PotC and above is the same as Aegolism and KEI (46 if I remember correctly). SLN (Skin Like Nature) is the best Druid skin for lowbies. It has +2 hp regen, but no mana regen.

Blessing of the Nine DRU/65
#REDACTED, Posted: Oct 29 2003 at 10:20 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I beg to differ about stacking pot9 and virtue. I have stacked virtue and pot9 (with a brells if I remember correctly) as recently as three weeks ago. As a wiz my normal buffs in order are:

Sorry bud, you are wrong. Every raiding guild buffs these and I can tell you that Virtue blocks 9 and 9 blocks Virtue. We combine 9 and Symbol to get the best results, at the cost of some AC and duration of Symbol is much shorter.

cleric spells that will stack with PoN or PoC or any of the skin spells is very to figure out. If the clerif buff is a white shield with a hand on it, then it is ok, like bulkwarth faith (sp?), and on top of all those shield spells you can also get symbol spells from a cleric too, which is a red heart with a white hand on it.

The ones you can not get are the red and white shield buffs like temprance, heroism, aego, and virtue. Those will over write your druid buff.

Anybody know if this stacks or not?
re: druid/cleric combo
# Oct 14 2003 at 5:57 AM Rating: Default
There's a little confusion about what kind of HP buffs work well when you have a druid and a cleric in your group. Here is the low-down on what is the best combo:

The Cleric Aego/Virtue line will not stack with the Druid Blessing Of The Cabbage/Blessing Of The Nine line. However, the Cleric Symbol line will stack with the druid spells.

For comparison, this means that:

Hand Of Virtue: AC:72 HP:1405

Bot9 + Symbol Of Kazad: AC:86 HP:1528 ManaRegen:8

So even melee are better off with the Bot9/Symbol combo.

The most mana-efficient and effective raid-buffs are Kazad's Mark plus Blessing Of The Nine.
BotN = group

I think is was spelled out already. Protection of the Nine is single target, the lvl 65 Blessing of the Nine is grp. I think what got someone confused is the lower level grp druid skins were all titled Protection of xxxx whereas PoTN/BoTN breaks that tradition.

POT9 is group.
RE: Group vs. Single

Err, if pot9 is group, then why does bot9 drain more mana? Not to mention if that was true, wait for 65 for a single high mana cost bot9. Don't think your facts are too straight. Perhaps other way around. Although I remember someone casting a pot9 to buff the whole group, and also bot9 for both group and mgb. Bah I'm so confused!
RE: Group vs. Single
# May 29 2003 at 7:05 AM Rating: Default
Bot9 has more mana cost becuase its group , duh. Cast Pot9 6 times for 725 mana = 4360.
Compared too casting Pot9 once for 1700, Hmmmmm I need to think on this for for awhile ^_^.

Also on raids what would u rather do? cast Pot9 on Bleh some many people? or just use TGB and save about thrid or more the mana and time.
Difference?
