# Apr 03 2009 at 7:16 AM Rating: Decent
7k on Bristlebane now. More than I really want to pay. Have to price the research components and see what that comes out to.

I have Radiant Cure. The problem you run into is that it can take a couple of casts to get the curse entirely removed. These curses have a pretty hefty hp/mana loss too. So waiting for a second cast of RC isn't a great option. The hasten AA will help, but not sure if it will really be enough. I currently have RC IV, maybe higher levels would remove the curse in one cast.

Ideally RC + RGC combo would be nice for these situations. Hit RC, then single shot group members to do the final second cast removal.

Have made the spell before. You need parchment, quill, yaeth 73(right), & words of apparition. Combine in appropriate research container. Trivial is 176 (research)
No Drop Now???
# Aug 05 2004 at 8:49 PM Rating: Decent
Did they recently change this from a non no drop item to a no drop item? I looked at it today and it says NO DROP on it when I look at it through the merchant window.

# Aug 15 2004 at 11:21 PM Rating: Decent
The version of this spell that can be bought at the North Ro LDON camp for 800 points is NO DROP. The version that is looted or made through reseach is tradeable (made two copies tonight for guild)
Need an Abolish Curse
# May 19 2004 at 2:27 AM Rating: Decent
Considering it is the best non AA option you have to remove a Curse. Perhaps we will get an upgrade called Abolish Curse that will remove 36 counters when we level up beyond 65 :)

<hint,hint>

I will reach the cap before they raise it this time! I will not go 0-3!

If the radiant cure ability cures curses, is there a good reason to buy this spell, once you have the aa ability?

indeed, especially if you are in a raiding guild.

Level 3 radiant cure:

1: Decrease Curse Counter by 16
2: Decrease Poison Counter by 16
3: Decrease Disease Counter by 16
4: Remove Detrimental(6)

which is somewhat different than RGC.

also, radiant cure has a reuse time, while RGC doesn't.

RGC is 800ish points in ldon, and tradeable.

is it that people still charger 50 and 60K for this spell? Who would pay that much when if you have a good group/guild You can LDoN for it. At 64 I have been getting 101 points a hard win. And around 49 for a normal mission. So 8 wins for a hard or 16+ a couple will give me this spell. Either way a better option than spending way to much for this spell. I saw one guy in the bazaar trying to sell it for 60K he was there all day, after about 6 hours he had dropped the price by 5K and still couldnt move it.

The day they brought this spell to the camps the price on it dropped by 45K easily. Dont believe me? Ask around and ask what people would rather do 8 to 20 missions for it? or pay way to much?

Lol, well actually they would rather spend 45k on it since hardly anyone does ldons anymore. Since it takes a few hours to get a group together that will do a ldon then since the people that will do the ldon arn't very well geared you have to do the normal one. Then once the ldon is over everyone leaves and you have to start all over. In this time you could have farmed 5-10k so would take at least half the time to just farm the plat.

Oh and since I sell a few of em I know they do move pretty quickly at 45k.
Curse Counter
# Feb 07 2004 at 9:29 PM Rating: Decent
Ok, when the description of the spell says that it does this:

1: Decrease Curse Counter by 9
2: Decrease Curse Counter by 9
3: Decrease Curse Counter by 9
4: Decrease Curse Counter by 9
5: Decrease Curse Counter by 9

Does that mean that it decreases the count by a total of 45?

Poison, disease, and curse based dots add counters. These counters can be removed with cure spells of the appropriate type, and by time (each tick removes one counter, I believe) When the counters are gone, the spell is gone. The reason higher end cure spells have several "Decrease curse/poison/disease Counter" effects is so that you have a chance to cure multiple curses/poisons/diseases at the same time.

RCG
# Sep 20 2003 at 12:39 PM Rating: Excellent
Yes, i have found that it can be purchased from the Takish camp out of North Ro. Purchase cost is 800 Ap. This camp seems to be where Clerics can pushase Blessing of temperance as well for 150 Ap. The Takish camp is the best camp to purchase Ldon armor as the plate armore from here are all well fit for the plate classes, too bad each piece costs 1492 Ap. you usually get what you pay for, and this camp proves it.

Got my AP to 830 to purchase this spell. Went to Takish camp to get it.....DOH!!!! Will NOT let me buy it....ARGH!!!

Please NOTE....It seems you can only use AP points in the camp you gained them...unless the item is common to all camps?

I have never seen this info posted anywhere before
RE: RCG
# Nov 08 2003 at 11:38 PM Rating: Decent
The way AP works is you need to earn so many points in a camp before you can buy items from that camps vendor for that value, so in the case of RGC you would need to get 800 AP through Takish to buy it. However, if you have already spent 200 AP on something else you can still buy it if you earn 200 more AP at ANY camp. So once you have earned a certain amount of AP, whether spent or not, in a camp you "unlock" all items up to that amount for that camp, which means you can buy any item up to 800 AP (in this case) using AP from any camp.
RE: RCG
# Sep 23 2003 at 10:44 AM Rating: Decent
While i do REALLY appreciate postings of where to AP purchase spells, i ask that you specify your class, as these scrolls are limited to one class in each camp but not progressive. i.e. LRC, RMC, and RGC are NOT in the same camp for paladins. The spells are also limited to one class and NOT repeat NOT labeled so unless you check them first you could get stuck with a druid only no-drop spell scroll of remove minor curse.

Yes i am an idiot for not checking.

Please take heed to my warning before you get screwed too.

Aye, not that I'm prone to pick on people that don't know the higher level titles of any class (even their own), considering the guy was talking about remove "minor" curse I doubt he picked up on that title. Then again we are looking at a level 60 spell here. Guess a little daydreaming never hurts.

It's actually 176 trivial if I recall correctly. Have only made a couple of these. Cough...Cough... Also for the people that say why not just do Ldons for it. These days, not many people will do ldons. So the time you spend getting enough groups together and actually going through enough of the correct ldons you could have gotten the 45k pp and probably more exp than you have gotten from the ldons. I agree that the cost is very high, although grouping with someone that does not have this spell and you get cursed sure is a reason to put them on the "do not group with" list.

RE: PvP
# Aug 25 2003 at 12:06 PM Rating: Default
Wow, since when would a spell that removes CURSE counters remove the POISON or DISEASE counters from necro and shaman dots?? And druid dots...ONLY DISPELL will remove them.

With LDoN, it seems as tho the dotting classes are getting a line of curse dots, but that game isnt live yet, so either you are just stupid, or talking out your ***...I vote for both.
RE: PvP
# Sep 04 2003 at 5:32 PM Rating: Default
MMMM Only Dispell???? Let's see there's Cure poison, Cure Disease, Remove Poison, Remove Disease, Disinfecting Aura, and Blood of Nadox. All of which will remove poison and disease counters.

Now for the Dispell line of effects. Cancel magic, nullify magic and the such work against Buffs. Not poison or disease.

The most inteligent observation you made was the new line of spells that will hopefully be unveiled with LDoN. So maybe with its release we will see an increased need for this spell.

So I would say before you start calling people ***' or using the CAPS LOCK. make sure you have all your facts straight.

Actually, there are no poison / disease / curse counters associated with druid dots. So the person above you was correct. The only way to get rid of them once they land is to dispell them, or wait them out.

about RGC
# Jun 13 2003 at 10:29 AM Rating: Decent
Most bosses/mini-bosses in ssra cast a curse. Either AE or target. Radiant cure is great, but is kinda useless in encounters that last for 10min or so. It has a 3 min refresh. That's where this spell comes in. It might be your job to spam the tank with RGC while the clerics chain CH. Or to hit the casters when they get cursed. Over all. Its an amazing spell for higher end Luclin mobs. Its not used nearly anywhere else though. Perhaps certain PoP zones, not sure.

RE: how useful?

it's Extremely important in PoP top end content, such as elemental+, as well as some top Luclin mobs.
RE: how useful?
# Apr 23 2003 at 6:47 AM Rating: Decent
Very Very Very Very useful. check out some new luclin mobs. . .like temple of sszra - i read one particular mob casts aoe curse that is a nasty dot PLUS decrease mana pool by 1500. . .yes 1500. And it lasts 2 hours plus. Only way to get rid of it is remove curse.
RE: how useful?
# Apr 19 2003 at 11:53 PM Rating: Decent
I was wondering the same thing. I asked a higher lvl druid and told me that once you get to be level 65 there are some nasty mobs that will cast curses and such on you and its a real plus to have this spell. He then added he'd only used it once. =P
