A modern solution to the old fizzle problem

If you have the AA Mastery of the Past at rank 1, you'll never fizzle this spell again. It only requires 3 AA points, and will be worth it as a druid, since evacs and Egress will also be covered by the effect, and you definitely don't want those spells to fizzle.
Not doing the posted damage...

I cast this and I don't get the 92 per tick. I only get 64 per tick. WTF?

i attempted this spell and got this message:

your spell fizzles.
you are missing some required components.
you are missing a fire beetle eye.

they forgot to mention that, in case anyone needed to know. unfortunately, fire beetle eyes don't stack.

I'm betting it is the same as Immolate and requires but does NOT consume a fire beetle eye. Not sure - I'm only 49 ... just an educated guess.

True, you just need one and it will not be consumed.
Stacking

If 2 druids cast this spell on a mob, does it stack on the mob as damage x2?

No, they do not stack, one will over right the other one.

I've bugged it several times. It is frustrating as heck to have evoc maxed at 235, specialization: evoc over 130, be lv54 and have this spell fizzle 3x in a row! True, it may go 5-10 kills before fizzling again, but 3 fizzles and 1 cast eats a lot of mana. It is just ridiculous!

Yes the fizzle rate for this freaken spell is insane. I love the dot but I try to make sure I got a lot of room for error with the fizzles.

Fizzle rate does blow

At level 55 and with Evocation maxed out, this spell still fizzles a hell of a lot. I am even trained in spell casting mastery which helps with fizzling, apparently not for this friggin spell. Sometimes 3 fizzles in a row. Bah, this spell sucks. With all the mana that is used because of a fizzle, I'd pass this one right up. You're better off without.
Fizzle rate isn't bad...

I have a 52 druid, and I almost never fizzle this spell. I have used it plenty of times killing giants and many more monsters. I fizzle maybe once out of 20 casts or so. Although, the reason you might be fizzling is you dont have any Spezialze Evocation. I have about 100 in that and maxed Evocation.
Fizzle rate blows

The Fizzle rate on this spell really really sucks.

I used it alot while rooting and dotting mobs, and altho my other Evocation spells rarely ever fizzled, this one fizzled often 6 times in a row! And that was with a Evoc skill of 225!

Then I read somewhere that once your Evoc skill is maxed out to 235, the fizzles will lessen to nil... WRONG.... my Evoc skill is now 235 and dang spell still often fizzles twice in a row.... NO other spell does that at this high skill level... somethings broken, and I hope Verant will look into it someday... = (

Nope, it’s not broken. It's just that we Druids don't receive two decent DoT's until later on...way later on.

(Sorry, two edits and I still can’t fix the poor grammar.)
