Sneak for the win!

I handed in stacks of 1000 she gave the correct number of faction hits:)

I had 2 characters that were very low faction and the Mage trainer would not take any batwings from us.

For characters who can not sneak I found 2 methods that work for turn in.

#1 Offer the wings in stacks of 100. Then have someone cast invisibility on you. She will accept them.

#2 If no one is there to invis you....I opened a trade window, offering 400 batwings, then clicked my cloudy (invis) potion and the Mage trainer accepts them!

Keepers of the Art changes by 2, the other three change by 1 each.

As a high elf mage not sure where along the line I messed up my keepers of the art faction lol, but she conned apprehensive wouldnt bring up my train window and upon hail I got a piece of rubbish is trying to talk lol :p obviously illusion isn't going to help as I'm a 'good' race anyway, so I ended up afk farming faction in neriak 3rd gate just to the right of zone in from 4th gate accross the bridge standing at the door way the two guards that aggro give faction looked to be on a 5-8 min respawn after a couple of hours i conned indiff and got the quest start upon hail, one thing to add clicking the highlighted speech did not advance speech I actually had to type I will fetch some for you, and then handed in 4 sets of 100 stack bat wings bought from the pok at a time, it took about 3500 to get to could not get any better and con ally :)

If you are less than indifferent to Niola, and a druid, use wolf form to con her indifferent. She will then accept wings from you.

Niola is located at 792, -600 she is the Magician guild master. I gave her tow thousand bat wings in stacks of one hundred to go from indifferent too warmly.

After spending about 2 hours running around and chasing bats, I came up with a better solution. Go to PoK, hit up the vender (DE) between Guild Lobby and Bazaar. He sells bat wings 100 for 1PP.

I had to do this quest so I could continue with my Epic, as a drakkin ranger I was apprehensive of course and didn't feel like running all over the place to try and find different ways to raise my faction enough to turn in some bat wings so I thought I'd try sneak and hide behind Niola, not really thinking it would work since I am not a rogue but it did!

Edit: Once I had done about 10 turn ins (40 wings) I was indifferent. I had 80 turn ins total to get to amiable. If anyone has to go above that from apprehensive, I would at 300 wings log out and then in again to refresh your character. I have heard that sometimes the turn-ins get "hung up" so your true faction doesn't show right away but logging out and in seems to fix it.

I wanted to increase my keepers of the Art for the druid epic so I bought about 1000 batwings and went to find Niola. I'm a half elf druid and she was apprehensive and would not accept the batwings. So I tried a suggestion here, wolf form, but that didn't work. Fortunately, I had the Innate Camo AA. Basically, I would put 4 batwings in the trade window, hit innate camo and then trade. After about 5 turn ins, I was indifferent with her and could continue turning in without any problems.

Trying to get my druid to amiable so I can continue his epic quest. Turned in 10,000 batwings so far, started out at dubious, after a few turn ins I was indifferent, then turned in the rest, and I'm still indifferent. Gotta love how faction works in EQ! o_O

Shroud up in goblin form (rogue), hide and sneak behind her...do turn ins...voila!

Turning in 500 or more bat wings is ridiculous and outta the question. Esp after doing 600-800 muffins to start the epic. Keepers of the Arts is DIFFERENT faction from the muffins and needed to do the Chess Island part.
I could only pharm about 30 wings an hour. They dont spawn anywhere near enough to get even ONE hundred in a decent length of time. Turning in 50 bat wings BARELY moves your faction at all.
At apprehensive, which I was, you cant even do bat wings anyway.
So I killed Kizdean Gix in Commonlands 10 times just to go from apprehensive to indiff. Not so bad since he spawns every 7 min. Then turned in my pitiful little 50 wings. Killing him another 14 times after that, I was still indiff and getting sick of this. I needed bigger, faster faction.
If you need KotA faction to do your epic, do yourself a favor, go to Neriak and kill the mobs there for this faction: 3 necro women on top of the wall at the zone in, and 3 sks near the PVP arena on the ogre troll side.
X'Ta's Tempi, Timpi and Tompa; Svunsa, Uglan, and Capee.
Five kills of each will get you from indiff to amiable so you can do the chess island part. Just make sure your toon needing the faction does the killing, use main to heal. Just being grouped doesn't ensure that the druid gets faction. These mobs are all 50ish or less and repop fast. Its alot faster than messing with hundreds of bat wings.

After invis through Firiona Vie to get to the porter and lev across the ocean to get to Alrik I found I was apprehensive to him. *sigh*

I ran back to POK found the Dark Elf past the guild hall by the fishing supplies and bought a bag full of bat wings. 8 @ 100 each = 8 plat

Then I went to see the magician who threatened to remove my tongue if I didn't leave her presence. HOWEVER, being a sneaky ranger I stood behind her and hit the sneak button. She con's indifferent and will accept them. After about 12 wings I hailed her and got the quest.

It only took me 3 stacks to get her to amiable from apprehensive. I guess I'll be making lots of fish rolls. LOL Hope this helps!
