Lupine Claw Gauntlets  

Was farming the merchants for hides, and i get attacked by warewolf and a dark elf, check out the merchant huts near the bandit hills. i ran for fear of faction.

Heh, was hunting on Mammy Ramp in EF about 2 months ago and in the span of 30 min saw him 5 times. I guess his spawn time just varies )

Well I had just gated into WC and was heading, lazily, towards EC when I found a Werewolf just south of the Cutthroat camp, Nuked to a glowing puddle and then looted a claw and sone silver. Imagen my surprise when I looked up what the claw was for. Nice to see a quest that doesn't make me wait 10 lvls to complete, Thank You VI.

I was in WC today checking out the event when I thought, what the heck ill ask if anyone has a WW claw they dont want. A really cool guy (Im sad to say I forgot his name already) came and gave me one. I gave him 2pp for his trouble and went home to EF to hunt some mammoths while I waited for Karg. I spent most of the night killing Mammoths (and making over 300pp off tusks) till Karg spawned, and i ran over like my **** was on fire and threw my claw and 75pp at him and got my sweet new lupine gauntlets. So if youre about lvl 25 its a good way to get some experience and money while you wait for that godawful random spawn.

I have done this quest twice now for the Guants and twice for the cloak. Karg is very rare but last night I caught up to Him and gave Him the claw and 75pp, w/ any open inventory slot and recived gaunts. I started tracking immediatly after this and He was up again! I was able to do the WW cloak at this time. Pretty strange but true. The first time I hunted in EF for a month killing mammoth before I saw Him. BTW 100pp and WW pelt or skin for the Werewolf cloak

hahahaha I found a werewolf claw on a dwarf vendor. I bought it from her for 3 plat :p

talons are for the warrior armor quests I believe.

the musicians ARE werewolves, hence why they drop talons, and sometimes drop claws from what I hear.

if you want you can kill the wandering paladin in SK (who is a werewolf) but if you kill him while he is a paladin you will lose faction, kill him while he is a werewolf and you are free.

The locket is for paladin armor quest.

Are there any keywords or anything to do to active the quest with Krag, or do I just walk up to him, hail him and give him the stuff?

I have camped Karg Icebear for two weeks straight, and never once did I see him, or did anyone else see him, while I was in zone, or at least they did not admit to killing him. The best place to spot him is Meagan's Tower, or North Tower. I recently spoke to a GM about the issues with this spawn, and most are unaware of the difficulties related to finishing the Lupine quests with Karg Icebear, due to the fact that he despawns right after you hand in the items and he gives you the appropriate reward, most loot farmers won't let you complete the quest, I have requested they change this despawning, to allow players interested in just finishing the quests to be able to do so, without loot farmers loosing their chances for items. We'll see how this goes...hoping to see something in a ptch announcement soon.

I am almost certain I got one of these off a gypsy musician or some other mob while I was in MM on my Armor of Ro quest. They dropped a few times too.

two druids and myself (30 rogue) were at mid spire in SK. Sentry Alchin (sp?) happened by in ww form and agro'd on us. Yellow to me and red to the 29 druid, which would make him L32 that time. We dropped him fairly easily, and he had a claw and the pally quest locket on him. Lost the roll for the claw and was wondering if this is the same claw dropped off WK/WC ww's for the LCG's?

I have probably killed the werewolf near the entrance to WK around 20 times. 1 drop has had the claws, I have never seen the cloak but every time there wolf had close to 1pp in change loot. He seems to spawn starting at 8:00pm and has a chance to spawn at 10:30pm, 4:00am, and 6am. The most common spawn time for him seems to be at the 10:30 mark.

There are othe creatures that will spawn in that location at those times. If its not the wolf than it will be either a lion or one of the runners. There is probably at pattern to when the wolf spawns. One time I killed him at the 10:30 time and then heard though shout he was out again by one of the bandit camps, so there are at least 2 spawn points for him.

The level of the wolf in this zone WK is 25th level every time I have fought him. The one time I ran into one in WC he was white to my 20th level bard and was an easy fight with my monk friend. Sadly nothing dropped.

If you are looking for the talon I would say mistmoore is you only hope. I dont think that even if the item drops off these low level wolves that you will have much luck getting one. The drops are what I would consider "rare" off an "uncommon" spawn.
