Rupkerr #2: Uncovering the Truth  

So I just completed this quest, at level 85. The reward states it is approximately 3% of the exp needed from 85-86.
With 70% of my exp going to AA, I gained 1 aa, with about 20% to spare, and 2% main exp.

The missing journal pages are prelootable as in you can complete the restored expedition journal. But you will still need to loot 4 pages to update the first part of the quest. If you completed the restored journal with pre looted pages then just hand in the journal to Rupkerr and it will update the restored journal part and he hands it back to you. Then hand it in again.

Hi All,

Just took my level 80 Pally through this at level 80.

At 20% to AA went from 2 AA @ 96% and 27% Main to 8 AA @ 3% and 42% Main

Not Shoddy 15% MAIN XP!

Don't bother trying to pre-loot the pages or the Grimoire, if you do then you will not get the updates.

a Tae Ew ritualist

These spawn like crazy at the temple located here.

Task has a 6 hour request lockout from the previous request time. It is repeatable, though you may need to have completed all 3 solo tasks before you can request #1 and #2 again (not sure). Good quick and easy XP if you can get your drops quickly. Also the grimoire does drop off of ritualists in the "Fall of the Tae Ew" task, but I don't yet know if they will give you the update.

To find the missing journal pages hit any lizardman camp in the zone the pages themselves are fairly common drop, once you have 4 pages in inventory right click the journal to restore the journal then return it to the questgiver.
For the grimoire go to the tae ew camp close to zone in and kill mobs till you find a ritualist which drops the grimoire, fairly common drop.
Turn the grimoire in and done

You say, 'Hail, Rupkerr'

Rupkerr says 'This doesn't seem right. While my brethren's mission was of the utmost importance, it wasn't an expedition of force. Who or what could be responsible for their deaths? You say that you were [attacked] by a lizardman when you found the journal?'

You say, 'attacked'

Rupkerr says 'It's certainly strange that the lizardmen were lingering so close to the froglok corpses. While not known for their shining intellect, the lizardmen have ascended beyond being just simple scavengers. Regardless, they obviously had an interest in the expedition journal. If you could recover the [pages], maybe I could make sense of their hasty scribbling.'

You say, 'pages'

You have been assigned the task 'Uncovering the Truth'.

Rupkerr says 'If you find the lizardmen, I am sure you will also find the pages. They have multiple camps scattered around the Feerrott. Good luck to you.'

You loot 4 a Missing Journal Page off any of the lizardmen.

Once you get them, turn them into Rupkerr.

Rupkerr thumbs through the journal pages with unnerving trepidation. Rupkerr says 'Quite disturbing, indeed. It seems the expedition force stumbled upon an ancient lizardman clan, whose beliefs delve into dark ritual and sacrifice. The bloodstained scrawling is hard to make out, but I believe my brethren have been cursed. By what, I'm afraid that knowledge escapes me. However, if these journals are correct, I'd wager a Tae Ew ritualist would have a grimoire that could identify the curse.'

You'll find some Tae Ew ritualists near the CT ramp area normally. Kill them until you loot a Tae Ew Ritualist Grimoire. This will update your task. Bring the Grimoire back to Rupkerr.

Your task 'Uncovering the Truth' has been updated.

Thanks to your efforts, Rupkerr now has the ritualist's grimoire in his possession, and can hopefully find a way to remove the froglok's curse.

Rupkerr says 'I'm amazed you that got your hands on this book! Rarely do we have the chance to get such an intimate look at the Tae Ew. I'm sure I'll find what we need in here to lift the curse.'

The experience you get for the reward is about 8% into regular experience at level 86.
