The first Hardcore Heritage zones (Lower Guk and Blackburrow) went live in july 2008. They were part of a Living Legacy event series and got later rebranded into "Hardcore Heritage". Since the removal of Thach Jerden from the Plane of Knowledge, the armor pieces can now be transformed by a "right click" instead of giving them to the NPC (July 2020 update).

The statless armor pieces do drop from NPCs in special revamped versions of the given zones. These zones are only available during special events. For instance, EverQuest's 10th anniversary, the Living Legacy events, or more recently, the Hardcore Heritage events.

Level 80 Zones: (Released during Secrets of Faydwer)

Level 90 Zones: (Released during House of Thule)
Crushbone (Level 90 Revamp) (2011-07-01)
Permafrost Keep (Level 90 Revamp) (2011-07-01)

Be prepared for the incoming Hardcore Heritage events !

This site and the linked items and Hardcore Heritage zones, and their NPCs and items, received an update. Missing quest items, release dates, additional infos, and links to the official sources got added. The layout got revamped, and wrong and obsolete informations corrected or removed. All zones, NPCs, and items should now be linked to the correct expansions.

You no longer need to turn these items in to Ms. Hegla in PoK to receive the appropriate armor in return. Simply Click and hold to open then click Claim, then select item. In order to see the correct stats you will be getting, you must rick click it on the toon your want to put it on. Right clicking it on say a druid will not give you a warriors stats, etc...Hope this helps.

Anyone know what you can infuse it with to make it better?

As a Necro I turned in 2 GLowing Seb Wristguards and received 2 of the same wrists items. Are there 2 different wristguards for a necro, or do we just wear 2 of the same?
I tried turning in one and both of these bracers and got identical in return?
Thanks

In case you didn't find out and the wrists all work the same you need to just click on the wrist to change it (the focus). It might be on the item description now but not sure.

There is only one froglokskin wrist so turning in two glowing wrists will result in the same item so you can fill in both wrist slots.

Just a small correction. At the top of the page it should read:

GLOWING SEBILISIAN (Old Sebilis)

Chain - Sebilisian Bonemaster
Leather - Sebilisian Dragonhunter
Plate - Sebilisian Dragonscale
Silk - Sebilisian Froglokskin

I didn't follow the same order in my original post.

Happily camping nameds in Perma while zone is in re-vamp mode. Mobs average level 92, nameds about 94.

Armor produced from Reis armor is directly comparable to T3 HoT armor. Comparing the Reis leather chest piece to the T3 HoT ...

AC exactly the same (153), hp's and mana a little bit higher for Reis-produced (20-40 of each), Heroic stats total of 40 for Reis, 43 for T3 HoT, not sure which has the better distribution of heroic stat boots. The T3 HoT does have the clicky on the chest piece, none on Reis. So in all, close enough either way.

Both are another step below T1 (Rustic) VoA gear, as you might expect, which are higher all around and tradeable.

It's weird that there are 4 level 80 zones and 2 level 90. Athlai (Lvl 71, 350ish) and Othni (Lvl 71, 390ish) and Reis (Lvl 85, 1300ish). I wish they would make 3 types of armor Athlai (Level 71, 350ish hp) Othni (Level 80, 750ish hp) and Reis (Level 85, 1300ish hp) and split the zones up accordingly. Leave LGuk and CT at level 80, Make Blackburrow and Unrest level 85, and leave CB and Perma at 90.
Also, to be fair to the little folk, and epic seekers, as well as help out the higher end folk, I think it would be cool to have a Timeshear Portal deep in each of these zones that you could go to any time. Use the same storyline as Oceangreen Hills and such to explain the portals, saying that "timeshear" is causing anomalies in the space-time continuum throughout Norrath. This would open up the option of revamping other zones in the future.
If you want to keep the novelty of the zones changing during certain times, then have the mobs in the higher level zone "break through" the portal and "take over" the future version of their homes for a period of time before the expanded portal collapses to normal and sends them back. You could even key the normal portal with a drop or quest in the high level version(s). Or, if you just want the zones available for a limited time per year, you could add a level restricted timeshear portal just outside the zones that would take you to the high level zones and appear only for a short time.

Just thinkin...

Only one wrist piece?
# Jul 05 2011 at 8:59 AM Rating: Default
What's the deal with only being able to turn in one wrist piece? Neither item is LORE. I tried turning in 2nd wrist pc. and he says he cannot give me another one since I already have one? wtf? this a /bug? or should it be LORE after u trade glowing in for armor? No clue why you shouldn't be able to have 2 of same wrist, if they're not listed as LORE....?

When you turn in the Glowing Reis Wristband you will get only 1 wrist item by default and it is lore. For example, when turning it in for a warrior, you will get Blood-Etched Wristguard, and you have to give it back to him in exchange for Blood-Etched Wristband, hence the "Band" instead of "Guard", you can now proceed to turn in your other Glowing Ries Wristband.

I turned in 4 pieces of Glowing Athlai armor (from Reinforced BlackBurrow) using my level 71 rogue. For each piece, Thach Jerden gave the following response after the "give" was completed:

[Mon Jun 01 03:44:40 2009] Targeted (NPC): Thach Jerden
[Mon Jun 01 03:44:40 2009] Right click on the NPC to consider him.
[Mon Jun 01 03:44:42 2009] Thach Jerden says 'Ahahaha! It glows! This is wonderful, __playername__. Thank you so much. Here is a matching piece of armor, as promised.'

Note that the appropriate Gnollish Chain armor piece I obtained appeared directly inside an inventory bag, not on my cursor.

If I ever obtain and turn in a Glowing Othni armor piece (from temporary-revamp Cazic-Thule or Unrest) then I will post the response here, if it has not been done by then.
