This is a sub-task to be completed in conjunction with its grand task, "The Grand Illusion". It begins with Phara Dar in the Field of Scale.

Upon receiving task "The Grand Illusion":

Phara Dar says 'We shall see ______. We shall see. In order to make a convincing illusion, I will need a [ribcage], a [foot], a [hand], and finally a [skull]. Once I have all 4 pieces of this skeletal puzzle, not even Ganak himself will be able to see through your disguise.'

You say, 'What about the ribcage?'

Phara Dar says 'You must bring me the rib cage of an iksar. Any rib cage will do, but I would prefer something sturdy. The stronger the better!'

Phara Dar says 'What a mess. Is this the best you could find? This is an Iksar rib cage for certain, but it's covered in flesh and sinew. It must be cleansed and purified if the illusion is to last more than a few moments. Speak with Talendor. His knowledge of fire should prove useful in cleaning the rib cage.'

Talendor says 'My apoligies to you then, _____, for my most rude greeting. She made mention of a visitor who might need my help. Now, what is it you need help with, small one?'

Talendor says 'Quite the mess you have here. I can't clean them well enough myself though. Only the hottest flame can purify these bones, and no mortal could ever hope to generate such fire quickly enough to not damage the underlying bones! You need planar fire to cleanse these bones! Severilous mentioned seeing Iksar alchemists experimenting with a new flame while flying near the tower to the north. Perhaps if you were to 'acquire' some of their work for me to test, I could learn more.'

Talendor pours a drop of the strange liquid onto the ground and ignites it with a quick snort of flame. "Interesting concoction those lizards have come up with. It burns quite hot, though still not hot enough. Perhaps if we blended it with something... but what to [mix]?

You say, 'Mix it with what?'

Talendor says 'I know! Necromancers often use a rather disgusting tar to help bind their dark magic into the
reanimated bones. I won't bore you with the makeup of this tar, but suffice to say it's gruesome stuff. Mixing the tar with sebilisian fire might just do it. Find me some of this necromantic goo.'

Find some Viscid Tar from the undead in area. 0/1 (Field of Scale)

Bring the Viscid Tar to Talendor so he may continue his work. 0/1 (Field of Scale)

Talendor combines the necromantic tar with the sebilisian fire and slops it onto the ribcage, and then attempts to ignite it with a snort of flame. Though the bones glow, they do not burn, "Not even Dragon fire can ignite the tar. Only a being of living flame can ignite the mixture and cleanse the bones, ______, but I can offer no help on where to find such a creature. They do not generally seek out the company of mortals.

Find a fire elemental Talendor calls The Living Flame. 0/1 (Field of Scale)

Task updates at 2845, -415. This is the middle of temple found on the
island in the north east part of the Field of Scale zone.

Burn the ribcage in The Living Flame 0/1 (Field of Scale)

The flame is named Calethos, The Living Flame, which spawns at 10 PM game time. It does not respond to hails and cannot be attacked. Give it the Coated Iksar Ribcage you got back from Talendor.

As you hold out the ribcage, the Living Flame's burning hands ingite the coating in a brilliant flash of light and heat, though strangely, you are unharmed. You are left holding a pristine ribcage, purified by elemental fire.

Give the Purified Iksar Ribcage to Phara Dar 0/1 (Field of Scale)

Phara Dar looks over the purified ribcage and nods. From her demeanor, you get the feeling she is rather pleased with your progress.

Phara Dar says 'This will do nicely, ______. I must say I'm rather impressed. We dragonkind hold little regard for the capabilities of other races, but you have shown this thinking may need revision.'
