This group mission is the fourth in a series of five. It begins with Daemon Darkdawn (click for map image) on the Barren Coast, located at approximately 745, -625, on top of a large hill.

    Pre-requisites for Requesting:
    - Completion of "Sunstone Savages"
    - Completion of "Altar Call"
    - Completion of "The Tidewater Clan Goblins"

    Pre-requisite for Completing:
    - Must have "Amulet of the Risen Tide" with you (key looted in previous task)

At the end of the previous task, you saw:

Daemon Darkdawn says, "Well did you find any booty? Or anything worth smashing to bits? I'm certain you killed a few more of those goblins as well didn't you? Some kind of Altar you say? Well this is interesting, I'm sure Brynden will want to hear about this."

Brynden doesn't have anything new to say, and Daemon offered no [keyword], so just say "interested" to request this task.

You say, 'I'm interested in more'

Daemon Darkdawn says 'Avast! Yer not a swabbie, that's fer sure. You could crew fer me any time. That symbol ye found on that goblin king, the wet one, it's got to be like that other one. It leads someplace. I gots me a nose for hidden treasure. Go wring some information out of that lousy Brynden and find the secret them water goblin scum are hidin'!'

You have been assigned the task 'The Tidewater Clan Goblins (Repayment)'.

Daemon has asked you to find your way into the cave that is locked behind the stone door guarded by the Tidewater goblin clan. Once there, he wants you to destroy the object of worship that he believes is in the cave. While you're there, he'd also like you to take out a few of the seaweed-eating little stinkers. Book passage on one of the Freetide Merchant ships to get to Suncrest Island. Once you are on the island, you will be able to leave using the longboat.

If you hail Brynden Snow at the Blacksail Smugglers' camp, you see:

Brynden Snow says 'You have returned! And you're still breathing! That's an accomplishment. I suppose you've returned to me to learn of the Tidewater goblins. When they split with the Suncrest goblins and formed two clans, they chose to live in and near the water, but they refused to leave the island entirely. This is curious to me, since there would seem to be little of value to a group of aqua goblins on a volcanic island. There must be something of great importance on or very near that island to them. I would be curious to know what that is.'

Purchase tickets to Suncrest Isle and catch the boat 0/1 (Barren Coast)

Dockmaster Weatherby says 'You look like you've been at sea on a dangerous mission for a while? Perhaps you plan to head back out, in which case you're going to need to purchase another ticket before boarding the Isabeau.'

Buy a "Seafarer's Ticket: Suncrest Isle" from any of the Dockmasters along the coastline and keep it in your inventory. When the ship docks, step onto it and wait for it to sail out to the Buried Sea. Upon zoning, you'll find yourself in an instanced version of the island.

Loot 4 Tidewater Goblin Heads 0/4 (Suncrest Isle)

Tidewater Goblin Heads are an uncommon drop off any Tidewater goblin in the southeast part of the island. If you don't get enough drops on land, head into their water dwellings off the eastern coast. (Expect 15-20 kills here, unless you get lucky.)

Destroy the Tidewater Crystal 0/1 (Suncrest Isle)

The crystal is located in the cave under the big lake on the map. The cave is located on the hillside wall (big metal doors) located on the Tidewater side of the island, near the center lake (or better, below the lake). (Some maps don't display it, but it's there.)

You need the "Amulet of the Risen Tide" from the previous task to open the door (location -1050, -2815, 370). Be careful of see invis mobs, and the traps that cast "Crush of the Depths" throughout the back of the cave. They will drop your invis.

4x "a protector" will spin around the crystal (these have ~30,000 hitpoints each). They need to be killed and do not attack back. If they aren't killed fast enough, they will keep respawning. If one respawns, you see this emote:

A new crystal forms from the mass of the largest crystal.

With all four of the protectors dead, the player with the "Amulet of the Risen Tide" in their inventory should left-click on the big crystal to update the task:

When the Amulet of the Risen Tide is brought near the crystal, it pulses once and then simply disappears. As soon as the crystal is gone, the ground shakes furiously.

NOTE: Do not destroy the amulet! You'll need it for the next task.

Deliver 4 Tidewater Goblin Head to Daemon Darkdawn 0/4 (Barren Coast)

Near the zone-in area is a rowboat that you can click to port you back to the Buried Sea:

You get into the longboat and row out. You are quickly picked up by one of the many merchant ships sailing the waters of the Buried Sea and delivered safely to the dock on Jardel's Hook...

Hand in the four goblin heads to complete the task.

Daemon is pleased with your work. At least as pleased as you've ever seen him. But he has concerns about the earthquake you experienced.

First, you do need the Amulet of the Risen Tide to get in the cave. It'll say something about a blue glow and the door will unlock. I went in and the others didn't get in fast enough and were locked out.

When we first did this, I didn't know exactly how this worked and was running in circles after the crystals. We ended up with 4 elementals on us. We almost didn't survive from laughing so hard.

This is what we figured out: There are 4 Protectors that look like crystals that circle the big crystal you're to destroy. As you fight them, the elementals will pop. After the first attempt we determined the best strategy was to DoT all the crystals at the same time from a distance. Once they were down low, then blew them apart with spells. They all were destroyed nearly the same time and no elementals showed up. Once destroyed then we used the Amulet of the Risen Tide to shake the place up and turned in the 4 heads we had looted.

It was so much easier to DoT them than running in circles chasing after them.

    RE:

"You need the Amulet of the Risen Tide from the last task to open the door."

I may be wrong, but I don't believe that is correct. I don't think the doors are locked.

Destroying the Crystal means using the Amulet of the Risen Tide looted in the previous mission.

The cave is loctated on the hillside wall (big metal doors) that is on the tidewater side of the island, near the center lake (or better, below the lake). It wasn't on my map, but it is there.

There is one large crystal in the center with about 4 to 6 "A Protector" crysrtals. definitely 4, but I'm thinking there were 6. Anyway - you need to kill them before you can use the Amulet of the Risen Tide while up on the platform where the big crystal (non-targetable).

They have to be dead to use the Amulet of the Risen Tide. Don't kill them fast enough and they respawn, so beware! You have have 2 charges on the Amulet of the Risen Tide!

Once you get the click done, then "click at" the big crystal to destroy it (the zone will shake).

    Final step is:

Deliver 4 Tidewater Goblin Head to Daemon Darkdawn

(Not a hail, as currently liste din the above walk thru).

Also shoot, I don't have the task anymore, but you have to turn in all 4 heads for the win, not hail him.

Exact same dialogue as previous tasks. You wouldn't know you were fighting a new one if weren't assigned a different task.

    You say, 'Hail, Daemon Darkdawn'

Daemon Darkdawn says 'Yar, landlubber! What be ye doing here? If yer lookin ta join me crew, that ship has [gone] and sailed.'

    You say, 'Gone?'

Daemon Darkdawn says 'Aye. Well, more like sank. Them snog-bottomed goblins killed most o' me crew and scuttled me ship! Thems of us that survived were picked up by another crew and dropped here. I shoulda left by now, but I'm not done with them [stinkin' goblins].'

    You say, 'Stinkin' goblins?'

Daemon Darkdawn says 'Aye. I been learnin what I can about 'em, especially them ones that be out on [Suncrest]. I want me revenge on them, and I'm going to get it. Maybe you'd be [interested] in helpin' out? If you send enough of them to the halls of Prexus, I can probably find some booty ta give ya for it.'

    You say, 'Suncrest?'

Daemon Darkdawn says 'Suncrest is one of them islands out near that big whirlpool. It's just east of it. It's full o' them goblins, both kinds. There's the ones that live in the water and the ones that live near that volcano thar. I don't know much about the little beggars, but I been talking with Brynden Snow an' he knows a lot about that island and the goblins there. I be havin' trouble getting' him to cough up what I want to know. But you can certainly kill some of them big-eared rat goblins for me. You [interested]?'

    You say, 'I am interested.'

Daemon Darkdawn says 'Good. Now listen up. I want that fire goblin king's head. I want you to go fetch it for me. This is the revenge me crew be needin'.'

You have been assigned the task 'Repaying the Tidewater Goblins in Full'.
