I built these ratwork models to blend in with the local wildlife here so they can collect ecological samples without disrupting the environment. Must obey the prime directive, you know. Last night, I sent three ratworks to gather water samples from the nearby pools, but only two returned. Model 8 is in [trouble]!' You say, 'In trouble?' Hammerstock says 'I activated Number 8's homing beacon and it lead me to the biggest crocodile I've ever seen! The dang thing was sleeping with my ratwork in its belly!' A task window appears with the task "The Ticking Crocodile." You have been assigned the task 'The Ticking Crocodile'. You receive a Ratwork Power Core (identifies as "Clockwork Power Core"). Hammerstock says, 'I need a brave adventurer to get my ratwork out of that crocodile's belly!' 'Ratwork Model 8's homing device shorted out a few hours ago, so you'll have to do this the old fashioned way. Head due south to the pond where the giant crocodiles hunt. Listen for the croc that ticks. That's the one that swallowed my ratwork model! Once you get my ratwork out...Ugh...plug in this clockwork power core. That should jumpstart Number 8 and send him home.' 'Oh! And one final word of advice: the Ticking Crocodile is a pretty reclusive creature. You may need to clear the giant crocodiles in the area to get him to surface.' Kill the Ticking Crocodile to Free Ratwork Model VIII 0/1 - Blightfire Moors Head to the pond south of Hammerstock where you will find a number of "a lockjaw" and "a snapjaw." Kill these until "The Ticking Crocodile" spawns. He hits for 46 max and has no special attacks. Upon his death, "Ratwork Model VIII" will spawn in his place. Give the Ratwork Power Core to Ratwork Model VIII 0/1 - Blightfire Moors Upon handing the Ratwork Power Core in: Ratwork Model VIII says 'Click**Click**Whirrrr...**Power Core Installed. Auto-initialization sequence completed. Returning to Master Hammerstock's last known coordinates.' Ratwork Model VIII will then begin to walk back to Hammerstock. Return to Hammerstock 0/1 - Blightfire Moors After Ratwork Model VIII has reached Hammerstock: You say, 'Hail, Hammerstock' Your task 'The Ticking Crocodile' has been updated. Hammerstock embraces his newly returned clockwork. He says, 'Number 8! You're safe! And what's that you say? And you have some ecological samples on the crocodile's digestive tract? Well. . . make sure to head SOUTH. there are lock and snap jaws at teh otehr ponds but the ticking croc ONLY appears at teh southern pond.

picked up at lvl 24 so def not min lvl 25
I have done this task twice now and both times I had ALOT of trouble targeting the Ratwork Model VIII. He pops right on top of the Ticking croc.
Each time I try to target the Ratwork Model VIII I wind up targeting the corpse. The second time I could not even "insert" the power cell before the Ratwork poofed.
Atleast if Sony is going to give us a task to do they need to make it possible to complete the steps in it.

After you kill the croc, enter the command:
Targeting will be much easier after that.

How, I couldn't get it until 25?
