If you are with us, return four aviak talons to me and a fine reward shall be yours. Perhaps even our cathedral tailors and scribes may donate to your quest.'

1. Let me first of all say this is a HUGE pain. My druid already conned AMIABLE (because I did a lot of questing in the dwarven city, more then even in my own halfling town - the MUSIC alone is a reason) Even at Amiable I had to turn in about 4 stacks of bone chips. Hunting them sucked. I just went to ALL the vendors kind of near noobie hunting, and bought stacks. Also I did buy a few aviak feet.

2. I went to aviak island in OOT (ocean of tears). I was kind of dumb, I bound myself there. (resist the urge, bind at docks if you must bind there) It was a nightmare. Ran out of bat wings (levitate over water). could not get back, could not find boat path or anyhting. Plus its dangerous area. IF you go there, get a map. The birds were not even hard, they did not really help each other unless i was right on top of one. and there is a very high level 'Gill skyclaw' (or something id guess about high 20's) and WILL jump you if your attacking one of his friends.

3. it also sucked because I died a lot. and ran around a LOT, to people that would help me. THANK YOU SO MUCH - im sorry I dont remember the highelf wizzards name but hum and Muttereagle, thank you! (they nuked the island population with me grouped, so i could loot)

So then I get about 35 talons. im all happy, and I go to the guy he WOULD NOT GIVE ME THE QUEST!!! so I turned in 4 stacks of bone chips. (if you have the room, make some noobies happy with the armor he gives ya, and lanterns) I tried to give him some adult talons: instead of 'i dont need these' he took them, did not even thank me, or gimmie xp. MAKE SURE he will offer the quest. so then I figure: ok he is happy with bone chips. he needs aviak chick talons, THEN he will give me the adult version.

I was STRUGGLING to find these. Soemone told me that in STEAMFRONT chicks were more common at druid ring.

well... it turned out GREAT. because I went, there were more. and I ended up being able to BUY a LOT of the Aviak chick talons VERY cheap. (adult and chick) and I have crappy Charisma. and I could buy adult talons for 3sp. 3 silver!!! no death, no feathers, no pain. buying them by the FISTFULL. *AND* there is an adult aviak that spawns here, hes only 10-12... instead of say 14-16 at oot. This guy also does not have friends on a solitare island. JUST SOME ADVICE. go to steamfront if your gonna do this. I had to buy more boxes just to put the things somewhere. hope it helps.

wow.... thank you all for the info. I have a 14 druid with really good faction from doing the CB belts and scarab armor quests. Thus far the dwarven home has been more kind to my halfling then her own home. Anyways, good faction, and at lvl 14 with my druid SOW/LEVITATE will be GREAT at OOT. :) ill bring a few bags of bone chips and bat wings also. Thanks all. :)

Is there any Krags in BBM? Must they only be found in OOT? How do I get back from this isle if I jump of the boat?

Your faction *must* be "kindly" in order to do the adult version of the aviak talon quest.

You can raise faction either by killing lots of krag chicks (if you are incredibly patient, as they are not all that common), or by doing the bone chip quest with enough bone chips for a decent necromancer to build a small army. It took me about 8-10 full stacks of bone chips to go from whatever I started to "kindly." I was "amiable" after the first four stacks.

The experience is indeed good, even at higher levels, though the reward loot is more suited for those killing the krag elders in Butcherblock. I turned in 16 talons from Ocean of Time and got 4 blue bubbles of experience at level 18.

And yes, all you need is an "Aviak Talon." It doesn't matter where the aviak came from. OoT aviaks are nearby (relatively, but you'll think it's half a world away while you're swimming out to the island), and decent to hunt in the high teens and low twenties.

There is an island in oot (Jump off the Left side of the boat just after zoning into oot from BB and passing the first spires of rocks) It is all aviaks and they drop talons by the handfulls...the loc in oot is 2000, 4000
