I approached Barrenzin in PoK as a level 13 Wood Elf Beastlord.

After completing this mission, you are rewarded with the 7th Task Note which you turn in to your home city guildmaster for the Newbie Quest Legs for your race & class. My Erudite Shadowknight received a note to turn in for Fell Blade Greaves.
If you're trying to get your newbie armor, it certainly beats camping thousands of skeletons for the calcified bone drops. Almost every Lavastorm mob I killed dropped a task item and some even dropped two or three of them. Unfortunately, I didn't see an 8th Task for the breastplate unless it's one of the group-only tasks.

Quest given by Barrenzin in the POK. Tells you to go find Vreenor L'Air in the Lavastorm mountains. (Vreenor's located in the SE corner of the Lavastorm map up on a hill- Head east after coming into the zone and then north near the gate) Hail him and from there he asks you to collect things from the creatures....
4 Drake Lava Powders from Fire Drakes
3 Small Brick of Ore from Rock Dervishes
1 Bloodstone from Lava Crawler
2 Damages Lavaspinner Thorax form Greater Lavaspinner
You then deliver them to Vreenor L'Air after collecting them.
