Redfang spawns after the last screecher bat is killed in the bat cavern.
An ear-piercing screech reverberates throughout the surreal cavernous Demi-Plane of Blood, announcing the arrival of Redfang. He single-target rampages; hits for ~4500; spawns four blooddrinker bats (hit for ~2000; unmezzable; unsnareable) upon being aggro'd; and procs a frontal silence spell and an AE lifetap. Four minutes after spawning, Redfang despawns. When this happens, numerous voracious bats (hit for ~1200; flurry) appear and attack. One minute after this occurs, Redfang spawns again and must be aggro'd within a certain amount of time, otherwise the event resets. Rinse and repeat until Redfang is killed. A blood splattered chest spawns upon Redfang's death. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

I wanted to add that the voracious bats will aggro you anywhere in the zone, so be careful with unattended boxes. I evaced my druid to zone in, but the bats still came and attacked. This is even with my SK fighting the other bats in the bat cavern. They do despawn either when the event resets or shortly after.

I tried to solo this as a 100 SK, but I failed.
I didn't have any blockers turned in, so the snare was an issue for me. Redfang has to be aggroed shortly after the bats spawn or you fail and it resets. I couldn't deal with all the bats summoning me all over, then run to Redfang while snared in time. I eventually just used a druid to vinelash. I also figured out that he spawns the first few times at the first window on the spiral ramp, so fight him there. Later, he spawns up higher. Fortunately, the druid I used had all four blockers, so I pulled his top spawn with the druid.
As an SK, I just did not have the raw DPS to burn him down before he despawned.
I'll try again now that I have 3/4 blockers turned in and see how it goes.

anyone have any info on this fight at all? my guild is in demi and havent tried this mob yet, have past it up and tried the 3 sisters, but failed. was wondering if we would be able to take this mob on and have good chance if winning. any info would be helpfull
It's actually not THAT difficult of a script to learn, but you need at least 4 Knights with 3 blockers so they can handle the Blooddrinker bats. So after you get a couple Sisters and Hatchet kills Redfang is a lot easier.
Its not easy takes ages to learn the script but once learned easy farm

Not sure how much this will help but Redfang isn't a quest. Just an average ordinary mob. really doesn't belong here

Told Fleven as well... but maybe it's listed this way to include the dialogue of Arturos, Trainer of Bats and the turnin of the Congealed Blood one day =)
We'll be improving the way we track these things in the near future, at which time all your questions will be answered...
Lockout timer is 4.5 days and you might want to consider consolidating the separately listed quests of Redfang and Find Redfang maybe as they are very closely related =)
