This solo task begins with Wayfarers Mercenary Jeryx (click for map image) in the Lavastorm Mountains, located at the Wayfarers camp at /loc 2250, -50, 70. Pre-requisites for requesting this task: - Level 45 - Maximum "apprehensive" faction with Dark Reign You say, 'Hail, Wayfarers Mercenary Jeryx' Wayfarers Mercenary Jeryx says 'So, you want to get in good with them dark crusaders, eh? I might be able to help you. If you run a few errands for me, I can probably put in a good word.' You have been assigned the task 'Taunting the Brood'. Always coming after our goods, they are. The Dark Reign are trying to thin the population of the Stillmoon Temple to see if there is any reaction -- trying to draw dragons out. Maybe you can help them if you kill 20 Stillmoon creatures. Kill 20 Stillmoon creatures 0/20 (ALL) Only creatures with "Stillmoon" in their names count toward this task. Upon the 20th kill, you see: You've done it. You've earned Jeryx a bit of coin and yourself a bit of a reputation with the Dark Reign! Your faction standing with Dark Reign got better. (+20) Your faction standing with Lanys T`Vyl got better. (+20) Your faction standing with Firiona Vie got worse. (-20) Your faction standing with Norrath's Keepers got worse. (-20) Rewards: Experience 50 platinum Faction with Dark Reign | |

I was able to get this quest at Level 60. Mobs con light blue and dark blue at that level. Pretty easy pulls. Can pull to zl with few to no adds. WARNING: The Stillmoon novices will Gate out and bring help. The Stillmoon harmonies are healers.
Hmmm... I use to be able to get this task. Now the only one I get offered is the Meat for Stew quest. I am currently Dubious to Dark Reign. Did I just happen to hit the faction limit for this quest? Or is something else wrong?
... A little follow up, I hailed Jeryx with another toon who was scowling with Dark Reign and this was the only task present to them and didn't have the option of doing Meat for Stew.

Some more follow up...
After completing the Meat for Stew task, I went back to jearyx and was offered only the Taunting the Brood task. So it would appear as though the task you get offered is random and it only lets you have one of these tasks active at any one time (was hoping to do both Taunting the Brood and Meat for Stew at the same time).

How many times does this need to be done to go from scowling to where you can start the progression (indifferent)?
This is a good one because it can be done at the same time as a shared Stillmoon task. So you can get a double faction hit. Diseased Pumas has kill twenty Stillmoon creatures as one of it's sub-tasks, so they go well together.
