Ogre Cultural Armor (DoN)  

As an ogre, when I had an illusion on and said "medals?", I received no response or task window.

When I removed the illusion, and was in my normal ogre form, I received the task window when I said "medals?"

This may be a specific bug with Artisan Garth Okken in Oggok. This was on Ragefire TLP in DON era.

currently wont give you any tasks.. will tell you what you need for the armor books, but nothing about the medals

The Task for the Expert book is called Inta dem Mountains

task shows 3 more steps as blank but just turn in the razor-sharp drake claw and the book is yours.

for the masters book you need:

1) kill 80 di'zok sarnak
2) loot 40 di'zok insignia
3) deliver 40 di'zok insignia to Garth Okken
4) kill 5 reanimated berserkers
5) loot 1 bone chip
6) deliver 1 bone chip to Garth Okken

Okken says 'Hah! Silly runt tink you ready to jump to the floating isle? Ok, you go show me dat you a champion! You go kill a buncha dem critters across the isle. Bring me back soma da finest four fractured drake claws you ken find. I make myselfs a war nek-lace! You shud talk with either of da warrin' armies in Lavastorm to track down deze rare tings.

for Grandmasters book you need:

1) kill 120 denzens of thundercrest isle'
2) loot 80 fractured drake claw

Anyone else (Ogres that is) think this is unfair?

Dark Ore which is used for the Expert's Tyrant bar, weighs 15, I don't know if it is stackable because I have NEVER seen it, drops in Nadox where you would need a GROUP of level 50s to survive.

Fungus Sap, which is used in High Elf Expert's bars is stackable, weighs much less, and can be easily farmed in the Gunthak tunnel solo by a level 38.

Not fair I say. It is supposed to be for LEVEL 40.

was looking for info on where to get drops for the ancient pattern book, couldnt find any, so now that i did it here's what i did. Runnyeye had the femur, the ore, and the cat skull cap, the glob of muddite mud was just 'muddite mud' from the maze.

Ummmm... what the heck? I am on CHARDOK faction, I don't wanna kill my friends in chardok in order to do racial smithing/tailoring!!! That's NOT RIGHT. I serve the brood. :(

The quest NPC is located in the armor shop next to the forge at Loc P262 N208

Final 3 are Kill 10 Lizardman Warders (Actually a Tae Ew Warders), Loot 1 Lizard Meat from one of them. Hand Lizard meat to Garth Okken.
That's all you need to complete the quest.

You say, 'Hail, Garth Okken'

Garth Okken says 'Hrmph! What der you want? A [clubbin]?'

You say, 'I want a clubbin'

Garth Okken says 'You do wants a clubbin! Ha ha! You pass da test den! Anyone who wants a clubbin' from me must be too tuff for a clubbin! Leave me with jusa broken club! How you get to be so tuff, _________? You don't even wear da good [armor]!'

You say, 'what armor?'

Garth Okken says 'Aye, ha ha. Da gud armor! Normally ogres not good at making tings, just breakin' tings, ya? But dis one ogre, a crazy war face named Kizrak da Tyrant, he design da gud armor and gave me da [pattern] book. Told me to pass it out to da other tuff ogres. Since you tuff enough to ask me for a clubbin', you tuff enough for dis armor! Mebbe you even tuff enough to earn [medals].'

You say, 'what medals?'

Garth Okken says 'Yah. If'n you think you ready fer something a lil more challengin', I can send you on missions to the [Feerrott], [Rathe Mountains], [Chardok], or even da [valley] beyond tha rumblin' fires o' lavastorm.'

You say, 'feerrott'

You have been assigned the task ''Splorin da Swamp'.

Garth Okken says 'Mebbe you ready fer dis one after all. Go out into da swampy swamp and rough up a whole buncha Marsh Bears. Bring me back der skins. I wanna see four of 'em.'
