This has since been folded into the "Basic Training" quest for newbies.
Xenaida Akh`Zrial (Maps) may be found near the bridge, at +705, -610. You say, 'Hail, Xenaida Akh`Zrial' Xenaida Akh`Zrial says 'Greetings ______. I've been trying to find some Gloomingdeep mushrooms for some potions I'm making, but I can't seem to find any. If you happen upon some I can make you a potion if you bring one to me.' Hand her Gloomingdeep Mushrooms, a ground spawn at +570, -660, behind Rytan (Buffs and Spells). (What is the reward now, if any?) | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

this isn't a quest anymore either, it's part of a quest called "basic training" now. there is no quest called "collect gloomingdeep mushrooms."
You just get experience now, as part of the "Basic Training" quest, though it does still ring the bell as if it were it's own quest.

This is a part of Basic Training. There is one exp to be gained at the end of that quest. This step must be included in "Basic Training" to complete it.

she wont give me anythning when i give her the shroom
As of 3/06/2006, she does not give out any Shimmering Vial of Vigor when you hand her a mushroom. This sub-quest is still part of the 'Basic Training' quest that results in the Kobold Skull charm though.

I got a 5 dose Heal over time potion the first time I handed her the mushrooms after the last patch, but now she is only giving the reg. potion. Was is just a new thing for the patch or is it a rare reward? Any one else get the HOT?

You have the task to speak to her and if you collect a mushroom and hail her she tells you about the mushys then the 1st time you give her one (provided you have hailed her) you now rec'v a (5)stack of heal over time potions then from after this point you rec'v the normal vigor potion

There are two Gloomingdeep Mushrooms that spawn near eachother. They look like blue capped mushrooms. They have a 60 second respawn timer.

If you grabbed both mushrooms. Give her one and recieve the potion. Drink that one. Then give her the other shroom for another potion to use after the first one wears off.
The last time I made a character in the tutorial, the item is lore, you could drink it but it would not work on you ( ____ tried to cast a spell on you) so get the one and when you leave tutorial, you may then get it's use.

This quest isn't from Omens, this has been in the tutorial since the tutorial was added.

Xenaida Akh`Zrial says nothing when you hand-in the mushroom. You simply receive 1 Shimmering Vial of Vigor.
