I have noticed that berserkers get some really good gear for there armor quests when compared to similar quests for other classes. I don't have the stats right off-hand, but seems like this is better then what rangers or rogues get in there newbie quests.
There epic is insanely powerful, when yet most other melee epics are hardly worth getting (other then lore value).

I suggest you wait to make the tunic last, as it is the most difficult item to construct.' You say, 'leggings' Pashir Vollemon says, 'To craft Savageclaw Leggings, you must obtain two small pieces of ore, one low quality rockhopper hide, and one sharp bloodling mandible. You should able to find the animal parts in Shadeweaver's Thicket and the ore somewhere here in town. To Craft Savageclaw leggings, you must optain:
- two small pieces of ore
- one low quality rockhopper hide
- one sharp bloodling mandible
Combine those in your Savageclaw Chain Assembly Kit, then take the Savageclaw Leggings Materialto a forge with the mold Pashir Vollemon gives you and combine.
