You say, 'Hail, Juegile Sohgohm'

Juegile Sohgohm says 'Why hello there Conlara! Its not often that I get many visitors to our sacred hall here. I am Juegile Sohgohm, Master Elementalist of the Order of Three. I have studied in these hallowed halls for all of my days. In my spare time I also pride myself as being a mentor for all of our new apprentices. If you are a young [Magician, Wizard or Enchanter] and you hail from the Order of Three house I might have some work for you.'

You say, 'I am a young magician'

Juegile Sohgohm says 'Excellent, you must have certainly heard of the [training exercises] all new recruits must undergo.'

You say, 'what training exercises'

Juegile Sohgohm says 'The training exercises that I have prepared for my recruits are very necessary for the development of ones intellectual and hunting abilities. You will be presented with a Beginners Sewing Kit first, that will be used to combine a number of different [magical items] to create an infused armor material. Your material can then be combined in a loom with a pattern that I will present you with to create assorted pieces of Arcane Order Armor.'

You say, 'what magical items'

Juegile Sohgohm says 'The items that are required for your armor materials will come from all area of Qeynos, including some of our merchants. When you are ready to collect the items for a specific armor piece please tell me what armor piece you [want] to craft. I can provide you with the material recipes and applicable patterns for Arcane Order [Caps], [Bracers], [Sleeves], [Sandals], [Trousers], [Gloves] and [Robes].'

You say, 'I want to craft caps'

Juegile Sohgohm says 'To create your cap material you will need to combine 2 Woven Spider Silks, 1 Rabid Wolf Hide, 1 Fire Beetle Leg and a Cloth Cap in your assembly kit. Once you have created the proper material take it to a loom along with this pattern to fashion your very own Cap of the Arcane Order.'

Loom

I have finally found all the items to make the Cap. I have combined them and I have my pattern. I do not know how to use (or where to find) a loom.
Please help!

There is a loom in South Qeynos right across from the Lion's Head/Mane (?) Inn.
Click on the top wooden bar to open it,
place your materials in it and hit combine.
hope for the best and.... voila.
hope this helps

Woven Spider Silk

I can confirm that the widow hatchlings in GFay have woven spider silk (as well as large spiders and widow matriarch). You can also find the silk on merchants in Kelethin, from other players having sold them, for about 6gp a piece.

You will find woven spider silk (not spiderling) as a drop on large and giant spiders in both the catacombs and (where I hunted) West Karana down by the scarecrow patch. I'd say they drop between 20 and 40% of the time.
Rabid Wolf Hide?
# Jul 19 2002 at 11:56 AM Rating: Default
I've kill a bunch of Rabid Wolves and I haven't gotten a single Rabid Wolf Hide. I always get Diseased Wolf Pelts. When I try to combine one of the pelts with the other stuff for the cap it says I cannot combine them in an object of that type :(
Do Rabid Wolves actually drop Rabid Wolf Hides in Qeynos Hills? If they do, do they do it on the Quellious server?
CAN I WEAR IT

No. As with all the other newbie quests in Freeport, they are human only.

I have seen woven spider silk drop off of giant spiders in EC. Would assume it drops off of all of them.

Well, if it is like any of the other Newbie armour quests, it should be for those characters of that class/race combo only that use that guild.

These newbie armor quests seem to be only for the classes and races that don't often get played. Either that or Verant is slowly rolling out the quests and just have not gotten to the Erudite, Wood Elf, High Elf, Troll, Ogre or Iksar areas.
These are a great idea! They are no drop so you don't have to worry about people farming them and they give you a nice bonus compared to the armor normally available to the newbie casters.
