Rainkeeper Gauntlets

This quest is given by Miltiades Tal`Azroth, a Paladin guildmaster found in the Knights of Thunder guild hall of South Qeynos. It's for Human and Half Elf Paladins who worship Karana.
You say, 'I want to craft the gauntlets' Miltiades Tal`Azroth says 'Here is your Rainkeepers Gauntlets Mold. To create your gauntlet material you will need to combine 3 Bricks of Crude Iron, 1 Chunk of Meat, 1 Shadow Wolf Paw, and 2 Giant Fire Beetle Eyes in your assembly kit. Once you have created the proper material take it to a forge along with this mold to fashion your very own Gauntlets of the Rainkeeper.' Bricks of Crude Iron Ore are dropped by gnolls. Chunks of Meat are dropped by animals of most types. Shadow Wolf Paws are dropped by shadow wolves in West Karana. Giant Fire Beetle Eyes are dropped by giant fire beetles in West Karana. Combine those items in the Assembly Kit and then take the result to a forge and combine it with the mold given to you. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Go to the West Karanas and at loc neg1237.16 neg10328.22 there are 3 black wolfs standing on a hill. Kill them all and the center one has the tooth and the Shadow Wolf Paw. These items are not nodrop.
Got them both for a paladin friend on the first kill.

Also be aware, Cyclops will spawn at this point, also several nasty (to lvl 5) mobs roam through here. I have found that using the top of the mountain just NW of the spawn point is a great place to sit and keep watch both for beasties and for the spawn. Few things roam up that far and you have a good unobstructed view for a good long ways.

Matter of fact, while camping this area, I have seen the Cyclops spawn 3 times (led him off to the guards/got killed to move him from spawn point, cause he wont budge) and still no Black Wolves, seems the Black Wolves are the rarer of the spawns.

I cannot get the NPC to respond to the guantlet cue.

I found what seems to be a static spawn of Black and/or Shadow Wolves. Check out Loc neg1220 by neg 10200. It's near the Ogres. Got a shadow wolf paw and a black wolf tooth at that loc. Good Hunting
Here is a compiled list of all the items needed to complete these quests. Hope you find this helpful.
** Note: As with ANY tradeskill, never stack items before you hit combine, make sure each piece is in it's own slot in the assembly kit before you do hit combine. As the questgiver says, you must combine the items in the kit first, then combine the result and the mold the questgiver offers (by saying I want to craft <item>) in a forge. The forge combine is a no fail blacksmithing combine that CAN raise your skill :)
You will require a total of 21 Bricks of Crude Iron (remember a complete set has 2 bracers!)

Got lucky the other night camping this with some good friends (56 Enchanter, 56 Cleric, 60 Shaman, 60 Monk, 54 Wizzie, myself - 57th SK). We were there for approximately 4 hours and saw the SK spell drop... twice.
The spell procs for me just as often as the vendor-sold Shroud of Death, and is fun to play around with (though people ask what weapon that 'necromancer' is using now...). I managed to win both copies so one is currently up for sale on Morell-Thule. Look for Rhowne.

I too have searched far and wide been to Nec Forest killed a dozen or so, Commons, South Karana and West Karana and have seen nothing, where in the world do these drop?

They definately exist. Got one on AB server yesterday in West Karana, it was walking west behind bandit barn heading towards the bandit camp.
I was told they spawn in West Karana at night, loc neg1198 neg10358 but I have not checked this.

Went to this Loc and found 4 Black Wolves all in a nice little line, got several Shadow Wolf Paws from them. Good Hunting.

I too have killed ALOT of shadow wolves and never once seen the paw
ive also killed loads in ec and a few in Nektolus forest (scary place at lvl 10 beleive me),but some1 did mention to me that they "think" they have seen shadow wolf paws drop of the shadow wolfs in South karana, ill try there once i have a few more lvls i think.

Where do you find a Shadow Wolf Paw, I went to ecommons and killed like 20 shadow wolves with no luck...
