What lvl is she to kill, and is there any chance of her dropping the Hoop as loot? I have to ask, I can't afford to buy Ruby after Ruby :(

You can buy a Ruby from most jewelry vendors for about 131pp. Upon giving her a Ruby: Lynuga says 'Mmm. Ruby!! Me thanks you! Here take this, me got it off dead someone who try take my collection. Me thinks this valuable thing..' Your faction standing with Broken Skull Clan got better. Your faction standing with Shadowknights of Night Keep got worse. Your faction standing with DaBashers got worse. If you kill her, you only get "a large ruby", which is for another quest (Jeweled Skull if I remember right) You will not get the hoop or weapons by killing her.

As I posted on the page for the Hoop, I got two of these. One day I went ang gave 11 rubies, one at a time and didn't get anything but the axe and the mallet. The next day I camped out, killed a few hummies, dwarves, erudites, and high elves (man, it's fun being a dark elf shadowknight) and lynuga spawned. It helps to have a tracker or you might miss her. After 9 rubies (which would put me right at the 20 mark) I got an Ivandyr's Hoop. After another 5 I got another. you may ask how I got two well I created troll treasur holders and gave the items to them so I wouldn't get stiffed out of loot. I have been told I was lucky. Well, I'm going to try this quest again next weekend!
Traded 20 Rubies, nary a hoop. Didn't try the load 1 in each trade slot trick, followed by 4 stacked... I eventually traded for one.
CAN THIS BE RECHARGED!? That's what I'd really like! I was so disappointed when I clicked on it and nothing happened. :(

Me Be da big troll shadow guy named Burps, Me see Lynuga get bashed good by da two humies and dey let me loot, she not drop da hoop or da weapons but she have large ruby dat me wear on head and get 1 int, no ac just one int, so me keep dis on me head and try not to loose it, if me see da lady again I try give back to her, maybe dis work to get da hoop or a weapon.

I took a workday off to camp out Lynuga. Bought 16 rubies in High Keep, and Sowed my butt to Upper Guk entrance. After about 3 hours I had killed the 4 NPCs a total if 7 times and no sign of Lynuga. I did a '/who ranger all' and offered a level 11 ranger 200PP to help me track her. Once he got there, it was another hour and 4 NPC kills before she popped. He immediately spotted her and I started swapping gems. The first 4 were Brutechoppers (I gave one to the Ranger, kept one, and let the other 2 vanish). #5 was a Hoop, bingo! I had the ranger hold the Hoop (Lore), and wouldn't you know #6 was a hoop too!! The total cost for the 2 hoops was 1,600pp (6 rubies at 150 that I gave, 200 to the ranger, and 500 lost upon selling back the remaining 10 rubies) (NOTE: offered them to the people nearby, but no takers...). Not too shabby for 4 hours work! And for the record, I'm a WAR, and I got it for the AC. AC6 for an earring!?! That's insane!! Every warrior should have one - it's like a steel plate on your ear!

Well I just made my way out of Hateplane when a guildy asked for a res in Lguk .. Ive been gathering gems as a Cleric since I symbol a lot .. I had 3 Rubies on me .. Saw Lyguna in front of Guk..hailed her ..asked about collection..give 1 ruby..got Hoop...

Got the midnight mallet after killing two paladins, and watching the troll captain and slayer run around for a bit. Lynuga spawned away to the left a bit from the pond in front of Guk.
Got a ruby by way of trade and gave it to her. Got the mallet and lowered my faction with the bashers. Still amiable though ) since the mallet is a lore item i am going to keep it to see if it forces her to the brutechopper or the Loop )

Is she KoS to a necro iksar. And in general can an Iksar necro enter an ogre or a troll city?
Iksar are KOS to EVERYBODY! Until you work on the appropriate faction. I have an Iksar monk and he can walk freely among the wood elves in Kelethin =). Must have killed over 300 hundred damn orcs though, LOL. Hope this helps.

Iksars Do not start out KOS to "everyone".
I am an Iksar Necromancer and all but one of the NPC's in sro is dubious or better, im indifferent in temple of ro except for one person im dubious too, many quest people i find outside of thier races town, i find myself being indifferent too, even though i know im KoS in the town

There is no special way of getting a Midnight Mallet in particular. Give her a ruby and cross your fingers =) Although, it shouldn't take too many tries to get one.

I just completed this quest the other day and I can tell you that this is a pain in the *****
First: She does have place holders. There are 4 human and High elf NPC's that spawn around the entrance of guk. One spawns on left side of entrance the other on right side of guk and 2 on isle across from guk.
Second: You must keep on killing these NPCs until you see Lynuga pop. Lynuga is random however she can take over 16hrs of PH's before popping. Also, troll slayers and captins are not PH's so don't attack them otherwise you'll end up KoS to lynuga when she does pop.
Third: You must give her one ruby at a time. The Hoop is random I got mine on the 7th ruby some people give 30+ before getting hoop, its a crap shoot.
This was one of the longest camps I've done but well worth it. The hoop is worth over 5k and is simply the best earpiece in game for race/classes that can equip. Good luck.

When i was a level 12 ogre sk, i was reaping vengancge on the NPC's outside Guk, and although the cycle seems random, both times i got her to spawn were after i killed Jars Legola

anything drop besides the 3 named items? A druid once showed me a 6 wisdom ring that had some ac and he said he got it from lyunnga. Comments?

Hmmm....I would say yes. But, by the time you can afford multiple rubies, unless your lucky it won't work the first time, you could probably own her anyway. =) Please post any new information you guys find. ~Good Luck

She's not very aggro actually. I use illusions and benevolence anyway (got the earing on second try), but I know that if you kill her, you Grobb factions actually go up. I have noticed that she does take a long time to spawn, if she isnt around when ya get there, or someone kills her.
She is never far from Guk when I found her, BUT is usually swiming, so make sure to be attentive

Apparently over a year ago when the game was finishing up in development, Verant knew that this guy was gonna make a druid someday, and wanted to ensure that he would NOT under any circumstances have 6wis on his ear. This item is older than you are man, quit whinin, if you want to wear one so bad, play a shammie, these are great on pure tanks and dream earring for a SK.

I just started a enchanter with there official 105 cha for that quest, my chanter buyed all i need then he was well erased. costed me a LOT less.

Ruby's cost someone with an average Cha, 130pp approximately. They can be purchased in Erudin, Qeynos, Neriak, and a few other places that offer a wide variety of gems, go to the jewelcreft store, usually if it offers jade then you can purchase a ruby as well.
