Dropped the Glove of Rallos Zex twice in one hour. Says it can be used for trade-skills. I haven't found any information on what it is used for. Anyone have any ideas?

I seem to notice more griffawns/griffons to the south and east of the area that the Dryads spawn in. That is to the south and a bit east of Fort Jaggedpine near the fork in the path. From there they wander all over but there are always 2 that will fly north and pass near to the Fort for safe pulls. If you don't get aggro from the other animals there is a little hill nearby on which you can set up camp if you keep an eye out for passing griffs. Generally I pull from this area back to the Fort if I have an AFK friend who needs xp, or will root/rot on the spot if soloing. That's on my 47 druid, Uinian.
No faction hits for killing griffawns, griffons, anacondas or willowisps. Don't know about dryads since I've never killed one. Same goes for creatures in the river: I know nothing about the turtles or Potameids... yet. Basically if it has fur and you are a treehugger type, no touchee in Jaggedpine!! I mean do you REALLY want Holly Windstalker to tear you a new one someday? Happy hunting!!
I don't recall seeing a faction message for killing the griffawns and griffons. Bears and wolves seem to be the ones that give faction hits. Basilisks, anacondas, and griffs are faction-free.
My 47 Shammy friend and I must have killed 25 of these things last night looking for Mage spell components - dropped nothing except blood and meat! And then only one in about 4 dropped anything, at least on Innoruk...
It shows Griffs as level 40-45. Is there a rule in terms of level difference between player and mob that critters go light blue?
What level do these go light blue?? I was hoping that they would still mostly be Dark blue at 54, but dont know the rule/formula for figuring that out.
I know if a mob is too low you won't get XP from it but too high? Me and a 29 ranger (I was 28) went in there and fought one and killed it, and we didn't get experience. The Druid healing us (we werent' grouped with him) said the mobs were too high. Guess this is to keep low level characters from being power leveled and getting three levels because with the help of a druid or cleric they killed a high level mob.
Use Allure of Wild on them and Savage Spirit, then goto Gnolls or Poacher camps and destroy everything, they rarely break charm, they can double for over 100 and hit very fast, will decimate anything, only pet thats better then this is either the named griffon or the giant anaconda, but the anaconda breaks charm to much.
I also love charming these, but I discovered that panthers tend to attack them when I do, and one panther can easily kill one of these unbuffed ... and they run fast when they then come after you!!
When I am low on mana I charm the panthers ... have never seen a panther and let the panther rip these to shreds while I just sit there ... I don't even bother to DoT them anymore, but I do snare them in case the charm breaks on my panther.
Been hunting these guys for awhile. After killing no less than 200 of these guys I have gotten 1 griffon fang earing & 1 eye of the griffon. So...it looks like the notable drops are dropping at a 1% rate.
I got an earing on my first kill. Since then i've killed over 200 griffons and at least 100 griffawns and seen nothing. Plenty of down and skulls. (about a 1:15 drop rate on those).
I'de suggest the drop rate on the rares is probably less than 1% now. I believe it was much higher when the zone was first opened.
I've killed more griffawns than anyone and have not gotten any wearable drops. Just feathers, meat, blood, and random gems and some runes and words sometimes.
