When you respond to Jolum's upgrade prompt, he offers to upgrade your Grandmaster items, but... none of these seem to work, so perhaps it's old content that hasn't been retired.
Grandmaster Baker's Spoon
"To upgrade your Grandmaster Baker's Spoon, simply combine your old spoon in an over with a mixing spoon." No mixing spoons exist in game, so this must mean a dairy spoon.

10str 50cha 10wis 10int.
The new ones have the above stats, plus the 5% to the skill and the click for the bag. If you made one along time ago, this is the way to get the newer one. If your's already has the 5% and bag click, this does nothing.

Does the upgrade actually work to your grandmaster item really work?

I have followed his directions on upgrading my Grandmaster's Fletching Knife. I used a fishbone dart tool and put it in a fletching kit, hit combine. NADA! I used a Surefall glade kit, a planar kit and a normal kit. Looking forward to see what this is all about.

Has anyone done the "upgrade" part of the tradeskill trophy? Jolum now says that you can upgrade your trophy by putting a glass shard/bar of silver and the "old" tradeskill trophy in the appropriate container and combining them....
I don't want to put my trophy in anything and hit combine unless I have some idea of what's gonna happen.

This mob is part of the tradeskill trophy quest. Turn in your no rent summoned bag for the real one.

Anyone ever killed this guy? I'm kinda interested in the stuff he's wearing. Admitedly you'd have ta organize quite the group to take him down, but still... He has an interesting looking red robe, he's carrying 2 steins, and the shoes he's wearing, at least on the pre luclin model, look like golden efetti boots (I'm sure these are not, but I'm still interested in what they are.)

I actually have killed a merchant in the Bazaar before. When it was bugged and you could disarm them, and bring them to the arena. The corpse didnt poof, just a faction hit. No drops.

In response to killing this guy to see what he has on...... It says he is a merchant. If that is indeed true, then he would drop nothing. To my knowledge, all "Merchants" are the same in that respect.

when you go upstairs he is out on the balcony standing on a table, In the merchants area in the Bazaar.
