i have found these guys near the neriak entrance quite a bit. i killed about 5 and got 2 ruined and 1 pristine scale in that time. probably luck.(except that im a necro and cant even use them!) lol anyway. good luck!

I don't know if they drop more on tallon or not but i've killed about 6 of these guys randomly over the last few days and got 2 regular scales and 1 pristine scale. Maybe its just dumb luck that i'm getting these.... how much is that pristine worth :) I need to buy my 9th level spells :P.

They drop, rarely as it may be. If your ever on Xev, shout out. Seems to always be someone who is giving them out for a plat or two
YEA I HUNTED THESE THINGS WITH TRACK FOR 3+ HOUURS AND KILLED CLOSE TO 75 OF THEM AND ONLY GOT ONE RUINED DRAKE SCALE I HATE THESE THINGS AND WISH A LONG SLOW DEATH TO THE MAN THAT PUT THEM IN THE GAME

Did the GM's stop letting them drop regular scales? I've killed 27, I haven't gotten a single drop. I have walked around Nektulos for hours on end! Yes it's pathetic and I am getting mad. I have even sent out ooc's for buying 1 scale at 10 pp a pop. What's going on?

I ran all over Nek for 8+ hours and only had 1 scale drop and i killed 50+ ash drakelings.

It's funny, my roommate and myself have killed close to a hundred and fifty of these pesky things, and we have yet to get one to drop an ash drakeling scale. we have a few arares, but ne'er a regular old ash drakeling scale nor a pristine ash drakeling scale. I've seen these used for the rogue armor quest, cleric armor quest, and INT caster quests out of Neriak.

There are 3 levels of Ash Drakeling Scales:
Ruined Ash Drakling Scale
Ash Drakeling Scale
Pristine Ash Drakeling Scales
All three are used in a Rogue Quest Armor. Depending on the armor item as to which scale is needed. This also requires certain Halfling bones and Silk thread.
I have had best luck near LS entrance valley, and near the south end of the newbie log ( got pristine there). I have gone an hour without any spawns, and then got 6 in 20 minutes. Good Luck

This is also used for the spruned Armor quest in the magician, enchanter, wizard guild from Morgalanth Tal'Raeloen. The ash drakeling scales are hard to come by seems runied ash drakeling drops more. The ask drakeling scales are also for a cleric quest I believe.
Where can I find these guys? I've seen em around the zone to LS, but I was hunting there for an hour and only saw one! Please tell me if there is a better place to hunt these.

The Ruined Ash Drakeling scales are for the rogue quests, the Ash Drakeling scales (which are rarer) are for the cleric quests, and they also very rarely drop Pristine Ash Drakeling scales. Anyone know what those are for? In the 100 or so drakes I've killed I've only gotten one of those.

Pristine scales are for makeing the hardest peice of the Ashen Armor set, the tunic requires alot of rare stuff and I had to buy a Pristine scale cause of how rare they are. Also a Regular Scale is also used for some of the Ashen Armor.

I dont think theyre that rare, killed one for the 1st time, and it dropped one. They look like jellybeans, I wanna eat em instead of wear em. Can DE necs wear the armor?

The first one I killed I also got a scale, however, since then I have killed 28 and received 3 scales .. ugh. And no, Necros have thier own set of armour given by your guild (top floor way in the back). These are for some Wizard gear (that I know of) and Rogue. The list of ingredents varies for each class. Check it out, its not that bad for untwinked and newbies. All of the necro gear I have seen so far has intel on it (beat all those leather armour quests that just have AC)!

This little guys drake scales are used in the new rogue armour quests for DE Rogues. Seem to be pretty rare to come by.
