Nowm after i have soloed zelniaks from 30-40, and deing a good amount, i think it would only be befitting if at some point in this great game, i ***** slap this mob.

He only hit me once for 400. Flurried a lot. Resisted aoe all the time. Our group consisted of a 60 cleric, 60 rogue, 58 chanter, 56 ranger, 57 warrior and a 57 wiz. He seriously was an easy mob, problem was our dps wasnt enough so we couldnt take him down, got him to 90, cleric went oom so we had to zone it. Took down Gantru fooker tho np. Next time I try that thing i'll have higher lvl's in the group or 2 groups. Hes not a tough mob at all. Hits for crap too.

60 Bard twisted aoe songs and meleed on the side
Took us about half hour total from start to finnish. Bard was key in pulling him to the UP/ME zoneline.. Took a couple trys.. wiped twice because of assasin adds... (this was before bard pulled)
Buffed up with cleric/ranger/shamie/chanter buffs getting disease and magic resists up past 120. His AE's didn't land too often and if they did they were minor..
Cleric, Chanter, Ranger and Shaman worked together using combonation of short heals, rune 5 and CH along with cleric clicky legs to keep Warrior kickin. Chanter also cast some nukes and slowed him...
Was a total blast.. one of the best fights tactics wise I have been in even more so since it was just one group +1 individual.
He does enrage so watch out! He does not run. Some of my nukes were sticking but not many. I basically meleed him the whole time along with the Rogue and Warrior.
Dropped Bracer of Sence and Lunar Edged Scimitar which i won.. and it is nice. Don't care what other peeps think, if you know your char (Ranger here) you know tha you have to constantly control aggro with spells and damage output of weapons.
Anyhow if you like a good fight he is definately the one. Go there and wait till he spawns! Have a blast! =)

Bah just one grouped this ****. 2 59ths and 4 60ths. Just one long fight. Sort of like Lcea Katta before they ubered her up. Dropped Wis Bracer and that FT2 book

Just killed him with two groups. Long fight but not hard. Get your MR and DR to 150 each and you'll resist almost all the stuns and dd (at least I did at level 59). Was easily slowed, crippled, fire debuffed. 60 Paladin had no problem tanking it (once slowed). Dropped a bracer and globe. Could be done with one level 60 group with all the right classes.

Forgot to add he bites for 400 max and also bashes and kicks for 114.
Bashed me for 134 tonight. Hit for 400 several times.
54 Warrior 1044AC at the time. I had 4244 HPs and took about 20 hits before I died. We probably could've had him if the friggin Assasin hadn't BSed and killed our Shammie and Ranger right off.
Will be waiting until at least 55 or 56 before I try tanking him again.

Killed this guy tonight, and he also had Bracelet of Might. Item listed here on Alla, but not via this critter.

His ae stun and ae dd aren't much of a problem, you just need over 100 in both disease and magic and you'll resist the stun often and the dd won't do more that about 50 points of damage most of the time, with the occasional 250-350 hit. Our guild took this guy down last night with 22 people, was a long fight compared to say the Radir or Tawro, but not too hard. He dropped the scimmy, which is pretty crap till they get the addition damage functioning properly.

Found him last night. Yes he summons. His one AE is Disease based for up to 350 "Your flesh begins to rot off" with huge range. Other AE is shorter range, but with a stun effect. Melee's for about the same, but slowable. Roughly 100k hps with high regen.
We pulled to ME zone. Zel fell thru the wall and started summoning people to the bottom of world to kill em. With a little work, we got him out from under world and brought him back to kill him. Dropped Medallion and Bracer of Sense. Silly Wis casters hoggin all the loot.

I don't think this guys loot is ***. Its actually pretty great stuff to alot of players: nice weapons when you add in bonuses, a 125 mana range item, and a FT2 item that could go in range. I haven't fought in umbral much, but maybe I'll remember this mob's name and spot him sometime in the future. Does anybody have an idea about his spawn time and/or where he can be found in the zone? Thx to those who sent in item info.

Just to clarify what I said below, the bracelets with +15 blah +6 to all saves drop off of other mobs that are much less harder to kill than this thing.
So, yes I would want my twink to have this item. Would I kill this assboat mob for it? No.

All lvl 60 names in UP drop a bracer as a bonus loot, in addition to the real loot. You dont kill Zel just to get a bracer dufus. Why do people post when they have no clue what there talking about?

heh heh i watched 1 group take it on tunare... has 2 BIG ae spells... 1 is a stun and another is a 350 max disease dd... about every 10 seconds he does one then shortly after does the other... it took quite a while for the one group... was watching my friends screen as i played my char... point is... 24 people... when it can be taken by 1 group... nothin to cheer about.

Was in zone and watched a raid size group of about 22 people take this guy down. He flurried constantly and casts a disease based AoE quite often. I was standing quite far back and got nailed by the AoE everytime. Hit me for 350dmg each time he cast it.

The key for us was to stabalize him in the ME zone in area. Once we had that we were able to take him down by controling aggro. If he starts jumping through walls people die.

had 4 groups going, low 50s to 60s all around.. longwinded but the ae is easy to get around with super resists and hiding around a corner.. pulled him to maidens zone to escape AE easier. bad mojo, and his AEs are huge =) hella fun fight tho =)
