She's still here after the revamp. Just kill Bait Materson at 6-7pm, and Giz Dinree will spawn at 8pm.

Before Freeport was revamped, Giz Dinree used to spawn at night in the place of Bait Masterson.
In revamped Freeport, Bait Masterson can be found at loc at loc 636, -1912, but he isn't despawning anymore. I wasn't able to find Giz Dinree anywhere else.

I had just zoned into East Freeport on my Druid, Girlee, and decided to get EXP fighting a shark. After going underwater and casting my enduring breath spell, I found the shark to be much tougher than light blue. When running for cover on the ground, Giz attacked me from behind and I was killed, sending me back to Gfay!
Duh, of course druids are KOS to dark elves.

I find that if you bring a pet (take the time to conjure one that quite powerful) and have your shock of fire spell handy, you can kill her off in no time. If she runs, your pet does a good job of keeping up with her and finishing her off. (the hard part is if she is under water when she dies. you get good swimming experience while you look for her corpse.)
I often work on trivial skills while waiting during the day, fishing is a good one, sense heading another.
I found I had no problem with her, even when she was listed as quite formidable, at level 17. I hoping that I can get my faction with Wolves of the north to a more resonable level soon.

Thank you for the delightful post hon -- was curious how my half- cousin Bashnerette the Troll was ever going to raise her faction. 267 times though sounds like a long time :-( but it is doable :-)

I hunt inkies for sport... usually I hunt the necroes in Befallen but this is a fun little challenge. Kited her first(root ignite cascade swarm), when I went oom I started bludgeoning her with my club and medded when she swam away, keeping her as a target, ended up killing her when I was full mana and health and she was 1/2 health.

Just go to the Maiden's Fancy in Nek 3rd if you are able and kill Molon T`plth. He gives the same faction hits as Giz and spawns every 3 EQ hrs (about 10 realworld minutes). Also Ratraz is blue to my 26 wiz so I am killing him as well for the exp. He is also on the 10 spawn timer.

How safe is it in the Maiden's Fancy? Assuming an iksar could safely get there with invis, are there any high levels in agro range of Molon that would wipe the poor lizard out before he could make the kill?

Well I did the moss snake quest many times when I was a newbie so my faction with the Wolves of the North was much lower than just starting out. I was either Ally or at least Warmly to her when I started the devastation. Have been waxing her on and off from lvl 20 to 26.
I have killed her about 50 (give or take some) times to get to Threateningly. I have killed her another 14 times and am still threateningly. Hope this helps. I am also going to kill Molon Tplth and Ratraz in Nek 3rd Gate. Ratraz for exp and Molon for Wolves of the North faction +'s...

Any ideas how many times she needs to be killed before a Iksar shaman goes dubious to Warriors of the North (and can start doing gnoll fangs)

(Ooc It was sort of sad how fast she died with me. I have a 17 Ranger on Firiona Vie, and she was able to solo this inky without 1 bubble of damage.)
I was on the boat, and it was heading towards the docks. I looked at her as the boat zoomed by and she seemed even and was scowling in my general direction. I thought to myself, was that an inky? So I picked my way towards her once the boat had stopped and, lo and behold, she was a filthy inky.
Overcome with hatred (Dark elves are NOT my favorite race) I quickly cast my root spell. She stood stock still, cursing me and threatening me with words I blush to remember. She stopped cursing at me though as my first arrow hit her. (Ooc 44dmg crit) With my newly made trueshot longbow, I had no trouble in taking this wench out. Sadly, she had nothing of value on her body. So my effort was just wasted mana and arrows. But she was fun. (Ooc Nice exp. Two blue bubs)

I killed this lady quite a few times (at earlier levels, together with an enchanter friend, whilst waiting for the shark to come up)....but never mind all that!!
The point is ..euhhhh oh yes! dont let her get away. She'll swim into the rougue hideout and get herself killed ....just when you were about to do her in for some hardearned XP !
And i have a question too: what are the words... (forgot the rest) for that she drops on occation??

If you kill her as soon as she spawns, you'll get three kills a night. Seems she spawns around 9pm and every 4 hours thereafter. Kill the shark while you are waiting. I just bind myself right next to her and then being a wiz, gate somewhere else for the daylight hours.

I haven't gotten a single bit of loot off of her yet. I'm a Monk 18 (17 when I started beating her up) I just like beating on her for some reason but I would really appreciate some loot now and then...especially if she's part of something quest like or such. =)

I've hailed her and talked to her as a Human Bard, and she just tells me to go away... but my Half Elf Rogue is KOS to her.
If any Dark Elves can get into Freeport, I'd love to see if she's more freindly with them.

I'm guessing that your Half Elf Rogue is a Tunarean Rogue like mine. It's sad when I have to sneak/hide just to do business in a Rogue guild. When I'm done leveling in the Oasis, it's back to the Scouts of Tunare for me.

HEY! i heard she was a rogue. like i am and hailed her. She attaked me! that -----! dont hail her or she will try to kill you. i fought her and she got me down to one bubble. and so was she. i ran to docks she got to backstab me once on the way. i yelled for help and this guy healed me then i kicked her asp. fellow rogues and everybody watch out for her.

Thank heaven for this new way to get wolves of the north Faction. i Screwed mine and untill this time i thought the only way w was ever going to be able to fix it would be to plan a nerrik 3rd gate raid. If ur Kos to Barbarians u CAN'T do any quest to fix it becuse u need to assoaite with barbarins that will kill u you to finish them. This little lady is going to die SOOOOO many times tonight. :)

Killed her twice now, both times she's conned black to me, and since I was lvl 15 and 17 the two times that would mean she can be at least lvl 17, not that hard though.
Yhe 2 times I've killed her she dropped nothing but some silver and copper, the factions that go up when you kill her are guardians of the vale, some other guards, some merchant, and one more I can't remember.
