They throw a constant heat AE that hits for about 350 max, so buff fire. The problem for lead cleric (for the group that is holding mob's melee aggro) is that everyone is going down fairly fast, while the main tank is going down twice as fast. A 59+ cleric is murder on these guys. I use Celestial Elixar on the tanks to keep them in the safe range and then, when everyone in group is down @ 1000HP, the 58 AE heal. I even used a group complete heal once, with a good backup healer to prevent sudden deaths.
Lower level clerics are great too for groups that are not holding aggro. A 60 shaman makes it easy, too, slowing the guy. But druids and shamans just can't heal against these and the big ice wurms, who are similar but throw cold AE.
These drop a lot of plate, which seems harder to get than silk, chain, and leather.
Bah we were in HoT tonight, and the highest I got hit was for 300. This guy has 2 different set of Aes one is easy to resist the other is not. Rain of Fire is the easy cause I resisted it about 30% of the time with 140 FR. These guys hits for 330 MAX,pretty nasty. But everytime we fought one of these guys, we would only lose the puller, if FD failed. Very easy with 3 groups and not all were 60. Actually only 9 were. :)
Just want to add even with resists over 200, you will still take 400 dmg on the aoe every now and then, but you will take many more partial dmg and will out right resist this aoe with high fire resist.
I went to ToV (me the little lvl 50 ack!) with one of my server's Uber guilds (Silent Souls)to do some exploration/experimentation. It went alright for quite awhile and we managed to kill serveral of the unnamed drakes, as well as respawns (of course there were 34 of us on the raid) until our puller pulled 3 of the drakes and one of these guys. The drakes weren't so bad.. I mean with 34 people its hard for anything to be a real big problem but I just remember seeing this guy come towards and BLAMMO!
LOADING PLEASE WAIT....
Didn't even see what he hit me with I was just suddenly dead..
