You say, 'Hail, Glaron the Wicked'
Glaron the Wicked says 'Are you the one they sent to help our cause? I should have known they would send a green witch doctor to serve Bertoxxulous and myself. Very well, you will have to suffice. I have a [task] you must fulfill if you wish to know the blessing of my god and impress your masters.'
You say, 'What task?'
Glaron the Wicked brandishes a long, wicked-looking bone dagger and there is a horrid, diseased stench as soon as he unsheathes it. He draws another blade, shorter and wider than the first, of blackened bone with a larger than normal hilt, obviously for defense. He says, 'This festering blade is called Woe, and this scorched one is called Envy. They were created on the Plane of Decay by Bertoxxulous' own hands. He has judged me worthy of the protection of such holy relics. However, there is one in these very mountains who seeks to destroy these relics. End this idiot follower of Marr's life and bring me proof.'

Ya know, I chose to do the 1.5 shammy pre-quest to avoid the 1.0 bottlenecks... Well, SOE screwed that up...!
To do the 1.5 pre-quest you basically have to do over 1/2 the shammy 1.0.. wtf? Hell by the time I get through all these 1.0 bottlenecks I myswell just finish the 1.0... What is the point of even having a 1.5 pre-quest??
4th hour of camping this guy...... No spawn, never left the area....killed all the hill giants that come close.....

Been a while since the last post, but I killed Glaron today and both Envy and Woe are droppable/tradeable on Tribunal
These are no longer trade able, at least on Firiona Vie.
well, i was camping this guy, reading stuff up on him whiel waiting for him to pop, i come up, a lv 44 mage is killing him, has killed him 5 times today, was using weapons as pet toys. PET TOYS! i mean come on, this guy is for shm 1.0, and btw, his respawn timer is 1 hour.

ok.. i am in rathe mountains after already being at glaron the wicked once before.. i am omw back to him .. well as i am omw back to him a hill giant was killen him he was down to 6% there was no saving him .. that was like 4 days ago i have not seen him since he was killed by another NPC.. anyone have any ideas?? Thanks alot .. all info is help :)~

I camped for about two hours, then checked local merchants... guess what? a few plat later I had Envy and Woe, and was on my way back to Karana. hehe
i have been camping this guy and other folks kill him ,hey this is for my epic ,i dont feel like waiting forever for him to come back!!??!!

Hate to be the one to say this, but when u camp a mob, you should actually be there all the time. I killed Quillmane for my epic when I was told that I should have waited my turn. Unfortunately no one knows you're camping a mob if your in another zone. I killed him today, while killing HG's, I'll sell both items or give them to guildies for their toons. So camp and wait I know it's boring, but hey I don't think you have to wait for Phinny 8)

Just saw him while i was waiting for brother zephyl, dropped Envy and Woe
i've been to this camp countless times and this dude is never up...what the heck... my friends havent seen him up on track either...

killed him today while waiting for more giants to spawn, he dropped eny and woe, but i recieved no faction hits.

We camped him for 2.5 hours.. don't know how long before that he was killed so spawn time as at the very least 2.5 hours. Still in same spot.

I am a 58 shaman, i began this quest a long time ago, but when i got to him i was stuck. i thought he was a 2 hr spawn but he isnt. it is 4hrs which is really lame, am not sure if they have fixed it since DoD but if u sit right at his camp and kill everything around it and keep HG's a good long distance away, you will make a bunch of pp as well as your weapons. should anyone need woe and envy on tunare, send me a tell ill hook ya up.
Since new patch they moved the Hill Giants so they wander around close to Glaron the Wicked.
Nice way to get some plat and maybe some exp if youre in right lvl range while waiting for Glaron to pop.
And waiting seems to be the word. Either Im just unlucky that someone always kills him only minutes before I arrive or they changed this guys spawn time not being 2 hours anymore. Tabien the Godly always seems to be up.

Update: Earlier today I randomly asked for a track check zoning into RM from the Feerott. A druid told me Glaron was up! I ran over and, horrified, watched a hill giant slaughter Glaron before I could damage him for the kill.
I felt like crying.
I've /bugged it and still received no response. Perhaps it's "working as intended" now, but it means shaman looking to complete their epic will actually have to wait ~2 hours at a time.

It's been stated by a Developer (Vahlar) that it'll be fixed in the next patch - which probably won't be much before the DoD release.

Either he was moved, removed, or people keep killing him without realizing. I'm pretty sure it's either the former or the latter, but I'm not positive. Just a heads up to those looking to complete their epic 1.0 (like me, sigh) and any further development on the matter would be greatly appreciated.
Solo'd tonight with my 52 DE Necro. Pet and Envenomed Bolt ate him in less than a minute. No faction hit, either!

Glaron is at pos2975, neg1950. Easilly soloed by my 37 vahshir shaman. 2hr spawn.

He will Harm Touch you for 321, and try to fear you. Might be tough for folks near his level.

This guy was easy. I am at 35 and took both him and Tabien for the shaman epic shield. With him, i just cast quickness on my pet, cast slow on him, and then just seaked my pet out and nuked him. After about 2 blasts with shock of poison, he was running. He was a lot easier than Tabien was, so i suggest taking out this weakling first.

i killed easily at 34 as a mage 2 nukes and he was running like a baby and pet finished him off.

Everytime I pass thru Rathe I stop to kill this bozo. He's easy, fun to fear, and at 41, I still get xp.
The Woe sells for 900 plat?

He is on a 2 hour'ish timer someone killing him for kicks just makes another person have to wait longer for thier epic mob.
This is like killing ragefire for fun (24hour timer) or VSR (24 - 36) just to prove you can make peoples life harder.
Kill them for exp or for you epic but not to prove you can be an ***. worce yet an *** who trys to get money out of it

He's selling the drops... he's doing all the work for your epic. Just pay the man what he wants for the drops and you don't have to spend hour camping in stupid Rathe. If only more people would do this while taking out HGs.

does anybody know if your fac goes up or down with true spirit when you kill this guy?

Killing him won't cause a negative on your true spirit faction since you have to kill him and Tabien to loot their stuff in order to finish the shield of falsehood portion of the epic.
