Was runnin around doing the FM named cycle and had aggro from a goblin scavenger while killing a named. Killed the goblin cuz I hate pests, and the sarnak scavenger popped immediately.
Coincidence? I don't believe in coincidences :P

I've wandered around the zone for nigh on 3 hours, killing various mobs and particularly Sarnaks incase he popped. There appears to be no logic to the spawn patterns.

The staff is a ihb 8 26 or something with +2int. Necro friendly, cool looking. Just FYI

One wandered by my group at the mountain giant fortress a couple months ago. It was holding the staff so we went after it.
I won lotto and gave it to my wizard. Looks very cool. Contact Ahaz on Rodcet Nife if you want to check it out. He'll probably be selling it in a few levels.

It would sure be nice if someone who has had the experience of taking down this mob and looting it could post the stats on this staff. Thats what were interested in -- youll sell it a lot easier in a few levels if we have an idea of what its capable of.

I just killed one of these guys and he didn't drop any items, so if he does drop it, it's not every time. He conned green to 39.
