OK! these things drop the same as moutain giants in FM? so i could have been SOLOING these can getting more XP, and not having to roll, and still get loops?!?! ARRRGGGHHH! WTF IS UP WIT THAT? I AM 12 LEVELS HIGHER THAN THIS AND GET CONSTANTLY KILLED! AN I CAN SOLO THESE FOR THE SAME LOOT?!

Even though you could solo these you have to keep in mind that a group is always safer xp and there are alot more trains in this zone and that can make your life miserable if you are soloing.

seem to have about400-500
A good double attack hit with Weighted Axe will take them down immideatly(aargh! forgot how to spell it). :)

i am a lvl 19 (1 bub to 20) dwarf cleric i was attacked by one but didn't kill it because i was on my way to TRY to get an iksar berserker club(of course was unsuccessful). so i was wondering could i solo one of these? and what lvl would they stop giving exp?

Was in the Warsliks woods today, going down a path looking for Brutlings.For the record, I'm a 19th lvl Iksar Shammy. Anyhow, low and behold, I came upon this big 'ol fort. Looked inside, and found LOTS of giants. DANG! Well, I conned this sappling, and he conned blue to me. So I took a shot at it. Went to the edge of the fort, rooted it, nuked it a few times, and after root wore off, he came a running. By the time he got to me, he was half dead! A few more shots, and he was off and running! Luckily, I killed him kinda quick, cause he was able ta get his big brother after me. Happy ta say, SOW saved my scaley butt!
Went back, and did it again. All by myself, I beat a sappling, on two different occasions. Got a jade stone from the first, which was good money, and some fair coins the next. So, if your soloing, and are at or just above my level, you should be able ta take them down. Just be REALLY carefull of his bigger brothers.

well i havent killed one yet but was attacked by one i would have killed it but was OOM and on my way to TRY and get an iksar berserker club(of course was unsuccessful) well he hit me for about 40 a few times i think that was all.

Hi just wondering. My friend and I want to hunt these suckers. ( He a lvl 16 druid and me a lvl 17 paladin) could we take these guys or are they too tough plz answer. Also where do they spawn? are they near the castle that everyone is at where the big forest giants spawn?

Well I promised I'd post more and here it is...I finally got a forest loop last night, and it was off a greenwood...not a sapling. the saplings are all green to me now at 27 and the greenwoods all blue. I am currently soloing greenwoods and the easier evergreens and have gotten 5 different weapons ONLY off of greenwoods...so it seems that, although evergreens have normally better loot than greenwoods, ie: a few plat, necklaces, and sometimes gems, the greenwoods seem to have the forest loops and weapons.

I've been camping these guys for days. I started at lvl 20 and am now 22(2 bubs from 23) and I finally got a forest loop. I am so happy!!! Now i can buy some decent monk armor or a fighting baton.

the following is for necros of lvl 16 or higher that want to kill saplings................................After waiting for info to be posted on this site, i decided to ask people in warsliks woods,...it turns out there are 3 people inside the fort that will help me find saplings.
they tell me to cast invis and se invis and to come to bridge nearest cabilis side of zone. they lead me in and along the right side of the wall a ways and there is a spot where nogiant's spawn and you are relatively safe without invis. many giants there, with my new pet attaacking, heart flutter and infectious cloud, and two castings of lifetap from lvl 12, the guy was dead. He was blue to me, i'm a lvl 16 necro by the way.... He dropped 5 gold and nothing else, but the people around me told me thay looted a loop off a sapling once, i promise to post if i loot anything else. ) oh yes, and the thing that really kept me alive was the spell shieldskin, which requires a cat-eye agate which they sell in our iksar necro guild. spell doesn't last long, so cast it right before you fight and it will read something like this: A forest giant tries to hit you, but your MAGICAL SKIN absorbs the damage"...every time. it was great. )

Could anyone PLEASE tell me where these saplings spawn?...because I would like to hunt them and I saw one at lvl 15 that was yellow to me, but he was the only one I've ever conned and I'm 16 now...so could anyone please please please post it if they have any helpful info on the whereabouts they spawn or whatever, thanks;)

The torn notes are actually misscribed spells. They are for the 4th Shadow Knight quest to obtain the Zealot's Khukri. I am actually looking for some now, but can never find the dang Saplings.

Oops, hehe well anyho they drop a torn note thing. it is a torn up spell ive seen 2 diffrent kinds a Gate one and a Lifetap one they are NO DROP AND LORE ITEMS probaly a quest

The gem encrusted ring was not supposed to drop of any giants, and it no longer does - verant had messed up the loot tables and the ring is supposed to be a planes item.

Better not look to the Forest Giants for this ring,, The mountain Giants drop them and they are 31-40 depending on the type.

Anyone know what faction hits, bad and good, killing Forest Giants actually get you? I wouldn't want to take a hit with the Iksars for killing giants to fulfill a quest.
