So far I've only located three places these little brutes hang out: In the pit, near the pit by that dorky half-elf and his empty ruins and along this valley that begins near the zone to warlisk woods. Of those, they seem to most frequent the pit...as the area near the pit, brigands slay them. Don't mistake them for scaled wolf hunters, which are much more difficult for low level characters to kill (they're like 9-11). These are the only guys that drop the loose scales which are needed for Shester's scaled coif (AC 4 Helm).

Posted: Aug 07 2001 at 2:20 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I was oly lvl 1 back then, and I was out hunting, and I came across a scaled wolf cub, and then the mother, a scaled wolf, came and started a chain reacion of battles, with a carrion beetle hachtling, 10 scorpions and an emarald scarab, then I drew my sword, and won!!!! See, it is a miracle!

I beleive you are refering to the " scaled wolf pups " which are lvl 1. The scaled wolf is quite correct at lvl 5

These things con black at level 1, the only problem at level one is they swarm like mad. Just an FYI

No they are scaled wolf pups, these are scaled wolves, the spawn in the pit and are actually black to me at level 6 so the max level cant be 5

These guys have conned even or blue to me at level 7.
